PXG Gen 7 Irons

Recommended Posts

Bob seemed to make it clear last year that Gen 6 would break the yearly release cycle. Pxg played games with the alternate finish. But I *think* Pxg is playing the long game with its brand.

2025 gen 7 multi big weight's for varying MOI and off center strikes. Probably won’t touch T models as they are meant to be center strikes. Mass behind strike type of thing. Until they say they’ve found a way to multi weight the T’s.

still a pxg fanboy.

I have gen 2xf/4xp/5t/6(0317t) … will probably get 7 too …

It seems many are waiting on Gen 7... any update or inside info?

Back in January and February, anybody I know that is associated with PXG said August / September for the next iron releases.  They also hinted it may be the last "Gen x" naming with the idea of moving to "Black Ops" instead.

What are the chances we get a raw option in the wedges or, the CB irons? I would buy every set of CB irons they had in raw if they allowed me.

Make them yourself.  I took my set of 0211 ST’s and had them stripped.  They continue to be one of my most favorite clubs.  The 0317 and Gen X models would be easy to swing weight with the “removable” weights.  The ST’s lost about 10g each and I added the weight back as tip weights.

Those look great but that’s a little outside my area of expertise. Nice job though.

Thanks, they really were easy to do.  There is a great bit of information right on this discussion board.  If you know anyone that has basic club building experience, that is all you need.

Otherwise, we can all hope PXG offers this for the future.  The weight port would make it so easy for them.

Think it's worth waiting on gen 7? Really liked the gen 6s and kind of want to just pull the trigger but don't want to regret it.

There's nothing game changing in any OEMs iron release. Reports are they're moving away from the one weight in back system to multiple weights in back. If you like Gen6 and hit them good, go get them!

Unless you really need a new set now, I would wait.  That way you can see if you like the Gen 7s and if not, you will be able to buy the Gen 6s at a discounted price.

I'm playing 12 year old jpx 800s so I have the itch bad but I also suck so waiting really won't hurt me. Just tempted by the extra distance I get with the pxgs.

Well in my case I'm wanting to build a single length half set so waiting would be better in my weird case for the multiple large weights.

That looks great! I just picked up a set of new 0211 ST irons and saw a few unreleased used TD driver heads available yesterday...Stuff is indeed in the wild, just need patience and eventually they'll show themselves...

Snagy - where did you find a new set of ST’s?  I’ve been looking everywhere to find a set even in half way decent shape without luck.

If you ever find another, keep me in mind.  I could use even a scoring set in 8-G.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
