Does anyone play TM P-7MC

Looking into a set of these, really loved hitting them recently. Anyone play them? Feel like they are rare to see. Thanks. 
 

Was also thinking an older set of Srixon Z 785 or Z 765 possibly too.

I have a set of ‘20 P7MC that are my zombie irons.  Each year I try to kick them out, each year I end the season with them back in the bag.  They are really good and feel amazing.  I constantly have wandering eye looking for something a touch more forgiving for those times when my game isn’t as sharp as I’d like.   These are the first irons I’ve owned that I refuse to sell.  

 

I have mine bent a degree strong to give them a bit more pop and bring flight down.  They are so pure.  I have gamed the 4 and 5 irons at times, but generally have ‘20 P770 4 and 5 then transition to the P7MC at the 6 iron.

Oh nice. Was eventually going to ask about combos with the P770’s.  You keep the 770 lofts standard?

I bent the 5i a little weak.  I basically followed the blending guidelines TM published, other than bending all my P7MC 1* strong.

I played the MCs for the past two years. They are great irons for consistent ball strikers with amazing feel and looks. I wish they were a bit more forgiving, but they are playable for most single digit handicaps.

Just got my set yesterday. Combo w/ 4-6 p770 and 7-p p7mc. So haven't really hit them too much yet 😄 Purchased them as a result of fitting. Really easy to shape shots. A little bit less distance than w/ my previous zx7 mkI irons. More spin than w/ the latter.

Played the '23 version, love them, they provide feedback and a bit lower spin just like the P7MB's. I have a P770 4 iron. I think they are a traditional no nonsense MC/CB.

They’re a classic CB iron. Traditional lofts, no tungsten or tech in them. Pretty close to a straight blade. If you like them, go for it! You don’t see many in play as there are other options in the category that offer the same look and feel with more forgiveness, like Blueprint S, 620 CB, T100, etc.

ZX7 is the best combo of soft forged feel and forgiveness you will find on the market.

My hcp is a bit misleading in the sense that, under coaching, I've been working my a** off. My iron play has always been the best part of my game. What I was looking from new irons was more consistency in mishits vs solid strikes when it comes to distance. That's my first observation vs the zx7s. I like to draw the ball. Hate a block shot, can live with a decent hook. The dispersion in distance seems to be a bit smaller than with the Srixons. I've probably lost a 1/2 club in length vs zx7s, but that doesn't matter. Also lofts are a bit weaker with p7mc.

Ordered 5-PW with DG 120 X100’s. Likely delivered by Friday. Went P770 in the 4 iron. Really excited for this. Big change for me coming from first gen T100’s

They’re solid irons. I recently came back to them but with KBS this time around. I played them before with S300s and then tried a split set with Modus and the KBS testing gave me more consistent ball striking and flight pattern. I’ve always had a liking toward a one piece forged iron that isn’t a blade. There aren’t many one piece irons out besides blades nowadays. Not that irons that have a thin face or tungsten in them perform poorly but I’ve always been able to detect a different feel in something like a 223, T150, T100, etc. 

 

The 2023 model and prior generation are some of the best feeling irons I think I’ve played. A Mizuno blade is another but I never gamed a blade from Mizzy - only tested. These have that ball melting into the iron feel.
