I’m stuck between golf balls and I need help!!!

I’m a college golfer who hits the ball fairly far. But the one problem I’m running into is finding a golf ball that spins enough, but doesn’t launch very high. The struggle that I find is that when I’m downwind, higher spin balls suit me really really well. But then as soon as I get into the wind that same golf ball performs really bad. But the same problem arises when I play a lower spinning ball. It launches where I want but it gets murdered downwind. I can’t seem to find that middle ground that performs well both into the wind and downwind that launches pretty mid. Any suggestions?

What ball are you currently using?  I found that the ProV1 doesn't launch too high with just enough spin.  CTX also doesn't launch too high overall but spins quite a bit with irons with crazy ball speeds.  However, it's low spin with driver.  CT might fit the bill as it does the same thing as the CTX but doesn't spin as much with irons which becomes more noticeable with short irons and wedges.

With all due respect, I don’t think the answer to your issues with wind are going to be solved by a particular golf ball.  Flighting the ball down in the wind is something that elite players spend a LOT of time working on; they change their setup and swing, not their golf ball.

You should give Wilson Staff Model a try.  I find they are the best golf ball that I have ever played and perform well in windy conditions also.  I have a question though, is your current ball reacting like a fighter jet where it takes off and then shoots straight up, which is not good, or is the ball taking off like normal and just running into a lot of wind resistance. I say that because the best blend is a shot that looks relatively normal in terms of launch and such but still does its best to try and power through the wind.  Hope this helps and good luck in your search for the ball that works best for you.

What’s easier for you? Creating spin or taking spin off?….for me it’s taking spin off so I like higher launching spinner balls like ProV1X or Z star 💎…every ball has a trade off pick one where it helps your weakness more.

Its usually easier to knock spin off then add it. Id opt for a higher spinning balls then learn the knockdown flighted ball for into the wind.
