DF3 resembling a 2 ball, by covering hole

Is there a white golf ball shaped plastic/sticker-like accessory that covers the hole in the df3? If so it would visually look more like a 2 ball odyssey which suits my eye.. Anybody know of any sellers online?

Let me know how it goes..I was actually shocked with white color visual alignment 'popping' when I picked up the ball

My DF3 arrives this week and I'll be able to get measurements and start prototyping.

I'm thinking it would only be a few grams. Doubt it would be too detrimental.

a few grams shouldn't matter, the press II and pistol aren't the same weight and the guy I spoke with at LAB said they are interchangeable

I asked LAB. if it weighs less than 10grams, it won't mess up lie angle balance....

Is the material similar to the odyssey 2 ball putter, hard plastic? Are you going to glue it or screw on?

Yes it's a hard plastic called PETG and I'm going to try to add a clip to it that will allow it to just clip into the hole without tape or glue.  Right now it weighs about 3g total.

I think I've got a version of the Lab DF3 one ball insert that is complete.  It clips down into the hole with tabs that grab underneath to keep it in place.  It took a long time in CAD and a lot of printed prototypes to get the angles and the tabs just right but I think it turned out pretty well.  Total weight ended up only being 3 grams and I was really focused on keeping the weight as low as possible while making sure it felt strong and durable enough.  One drawback to adding the insert is that you won't be able to pick up the ball with the hole anymore.  🤷‍♂️

That looks amazing, especially with no lines. I imagine that you'll get someone that wants to get a "tour lined" version to have a full line through the head.

I'm also working on finishing up the alignment I want to use on my DF3 which will be the alignment system used by the MLA putters.  I've always liked how easily my eyes seem to aim this design.

3D printing was pretty easy to learn but I've been trying to get better at CAD so I can design my own stuff a lot faster/easier.

I don’t have one anymore, but I used to do quite a bit of 3D printing with PLA.  You may not even need the clips if you made the inner ring that goes into the hole a little wider so it becomes a friction fit.  To remove, could just tap it out from underneath.  It might necessitate some trial and error to reach the right balance but I think this would be better than the clips as you wouldn’t have anything extending beyond the bottom.

I had him help me with a project many years ago and everything went fine. Seems to do great things with putter inserts, etc. I'm sure it will be a solid product.

Interesting, I have been waiting for @labgolf to etch around the circle. Seems like a no brainer unless there’s some weird (and over reaching imo) patent infringement BS.

Orange on green would be pretty wild!  I'm also currently working on a "tour line" version as well.
