No only cooked in alcohol. Same entree that was served monday night at volunteer party at the PGA Superstore.

Only difference was 4 huge plates of antipast inc prosciutto, sopresso, genoa salami, cheeses, olives, etc. came w penne vodka, chicken francese and breads

Fyi, theres more than enough of security and all levels of pd, leos and undercovers to enforce the peace and order here.

Life and view from the cheap seats around the 18th green.

Opposite the founders presentation platform where all players thank and meet this years LPGA Founders including Pat Bradley, Beth Daniels and others celebrated/ honored.

 

Table w grasses is the food table of: gourmet baked goods inc multiple huge soft cookies, hot finger food appetizers, melted cheese chicken quesadillas, wings, snacks, chips, etc.

 

Food varies depending tent type and catering vendor. At least two tents last year had steaks inc sirloin, ribeye and waygu/ American Kobe.

 

In black open cooler is wide range of alcohol from Fisher Island hard lemonade (adverts on e-scoreboards), beer selection, wine assortment and moet champagne (orange top wrapper).

 

in white freezer cooler is an assortment of ice cream from popsicles, nestle crunch bars, etc.

There are even fancy disposable plates made of sustainable, no need to recycle, bamboo.

Ice cream and overall tent view, stadium seating is to left of table seating

The Rose Question

is there a block coming?

2 big settings and 2 blocked putts that lipped out by going 45 degrees around but not in on a easily makeable under 5ft pretty straight putt.

 

Last year final round at Liberty didnt hurt final outcome. If Rose made the putt, there wouldnt have been a sudden death playoff.

 

Today the miss only prevented an overnight tie as co-leaders. What tommorrow brings who knows but Rose is one shot behind for sundays round 2 vs Sagstrom.

1st Tee view from a players, caddy, group/ starter announcer, tee marshalls, walking scorer and standard bearer

Tent is where caddies pick up their player bibs daily, player get their round score card, pin sheet, rules, Notice of any rules exception, drinks, snacks and LPGA display advertisement.

 

Ropes are on the other of the 1st tee tent

 

tee Marshall who signals to fairway/green Marshalls if tee shot is going in or out of fairway/green and when shot occurs

 

starting group announcer waiting between groups. When making announcement they usually stand behind the group teeing off.

Inside 1st/10th tee tent, announcer has tablet w player info and sets up each players scorecard used for scoring and the standard course scorecard.

 

Most announcers I’ve met are honored veterans and/or tied to multiple tournaments, LPGA and otherwise.

 

Official course time to schedule tee time and determine if player is on time or late.

 

1st tee check in:

already removed: bin containing player bibs for caddies

 

back table: weather forecast, daily rule changes, individual player scorecard & std course scorecard, local rules, LPGA annual playing rules & daily pin positions

 

left table: snacks, fruit -apples/ripe bananas, granola bars, gorp, etc.

 

not seen usually next to tee signage: coke a cola cooler bins containing ice to cool Dansani water bottles

Geez, Grace is like 8 months younger. But probably has years of golf experience over Gabi, who just started playing golf at 15. Time will tell

I think the Beloved Rose gets win #2.  Sagstrom puts up a fight but something, perhaps the putter, goes haywire.  Nelly charges a little but is too far back to put much pressure on.

This being the last day of the tournament, the annual clear out of tournament merchandise goes for cost or less if tournament or vol group is ending.

 

As always, gotta get something again for mom. She already got vol discount at PGA Superstore and free any day ground tickets.

 

Never had lunch or cannolis. Grabbed sample between rounds/shifts and box lunch for leftovers

I hope you're right on this one.  I'm favoring Rose to win in her quiet way.  I've never quite been on board with Sagstrom, maybe she's too lively for me. I'm not sure "lively" is the right word, but there's just something about her. 🤣

I agree. I am a huge fan. She was sexually abused as a young girl. A few years ago she spoke out publicly to give support and encouragement to other girls who were/are being abused. She didn't have to expose her own past trauma, but she did... in order to let others know they are not alone.

Also this is on CNBC, for those wondering. I thought this wasn’t even airing live outside of Peacock, so surely this was a change in broadcast strategy by NBC and/or the LPGA.

nbc was hoping to see history from nelly when they made the change ;} instead they got beloved rose doing an impression of tiger woods on the closing 9

Rose is clutch! Both played great today. Too bad someone had to lose.

Crazy game. You finish 13 shots ahead of the player behind you, and still lose by two strokes? Lol. Glad Rose and Madeline made it interesting. What a finish. 

 

No quit in Rose. She couldn't have folded after falling behind by 3, but it was pedal to the metal. What a finishing stretch of holes. Pressure on on the 18th, and she stuffs the wedge, and makes the birdie. 15 shots better than 3rd? Impressive. 

 

Gotta feel for Madeline. Solid play all day, and a heck of an up and down from the bunker on the 17th to give herself a chance. Played the final hole to near perfection, but after Rose's putt fell I can see why she missed her birdie. 

 

Let's not forget Nelly. Played awful these past two days, and still manages a top 10. Lol. Plenty of players who's best isn't good enough to crack the top 10. 

 

Gabi wasn't in the same hemisphere as the leaders, but nice to see her hang on for solo 3rd.
