70% of speed from hands? Where does this idea come from?

I would probably just do heavy bag work and focus on speed like I have in the past. Also, I believe type II fibers are activated by using heavier weights.

Heavy bag work is good too.  It's a combo of heavy weights, low reps and fast explosive movements that add speed to the swing.

I personally do a lot of heavy power cleans for 1-5 reps as part of my training.  I'd recommend them provided you have the flexibility and mobility.

You could work on Padraig's wrist drill that @Valtiel often posts. If you can get that P3 swing correct it's a relatively easy step to getting them moving quicker from the top. You'll probably find that you'll hit the ball better and further with that P3 drill than your previous full swing.

Well, there is the reference to 70% speed mentioned at about 1:55 on the video.  

 

Per Mike Adams and others the "correct grip" shown is not correct for everyone.  For instance someone who needs an under grip with the trail hand will struggle with the cover grip demoed.
