Dispute

Rocklinsam bought a tour issued spider x from me, demanded a refund for a “caved in face”, I refused the refund because the face was fine, typical wear on a Taylormade putter insert. Then he got a refund through PayPal and won’t send me the putter back. Am I just completely screwed on this?

Unfortunately I’ve learned this the hard way. I was assuming since I was selling that I shouldn’t have to worry about that. Only with dealing with trades but I now see to be very cautious even selling at this point. I’m out $285 and he either sold the putter or is holding on to it considering it was a beautiful putter.

It sucks. I now realize that was prolly his plan the whole time. Well I’m about to sell a really cool tour issue Odyssey to recoup my losses.

Why would you not call Paypal and let them know the case they solved in favor of the buyer , that he isn't sending the product back? Something seems very odd here?

Let me be very clear. The putter face is indented. I will send a photo of the face. I offered plenty of times when I recieved the putter to send it back for refund. He did not trust me with saying it was indented as I got professional opinions from my head pro and member who is a second hand taylormade rep. They all agreed. I offered to him plenty of times to return it for refund and he told me to just go ahead and sell it back to someone else and say that it is normal wear. As a hardcore golfer, that doesn’t sit right with me. I will not sell something that is defective and say that it is normal wear. And as a golfer for me I bought this putter to play tournaments with and I cannot use it because the indentation in the middle of the face. I had plenty of people tell me to file a claim to PayPal and I ended up doing that. The claim also is run back to the buyer and he never contacted them back. I eventually got my money back. Now he is requesting me to send it back as I asked him to do before. I will send photos of the indent and our chats

Send me the putter then. What’s the problem. Is it because you don’t have it anymore? I’ll be glad to post pictures of the face before the sell and once I get it back.

You have to send the putter back no matter what , after you get a refund!? You don't get a refund and say to hell with sending it back because I'm mad he made me file a claim.. What's your reasoning for that?

Otherwise , your admitting to stealing if you're saying your not sending it back, no matter what the quable was about in the beginning...

When two parties have issues with a sale and can't agree on a solution this is why you dispute it through PP. You let PP decide. PP decided in your favor. You talk about "that doesn't sit it right with me". Does not sending back the putter sit right with you?  You were refunded. Now send the putter back.

As has already been noted by others, YOU have been made whole. You've gotten your money back.

 

They have also told you the putter is no longer YOURS.

 

Yet you have AVOIDED the issue of returning the (defective) putter.

 

So when are you sending it back ?

He’s not sending it back. I have to take the loss because I didn’t respond to PayPal. The problem with PayPal is I don’t get on there unless I’m making a sell or purchase. PayPal only sent me a text today informing me of a debt I now owe them. I’ve accepted the loss and learned my lesson to only sell to experienced wrxer’s. Hopefully the only good thing that can come out of this is for everyone to spread the word about the con artist that scammed me out of $285.

I noticed him avoiding saying anything about returning the putter but I didn't see where he said that he wasn't going to.
