Hi Everyone,

 

Thanks for all the great comments and PM's that are already flooding in.

 

FYI, 1st Release head #35 is taken by a tester.

 

Also, I forgot to mention: if you like a certain head, but want a different hosel, we should be able to accommodate your request, as we have just about every hosel in stock, and I can make more hand bends, etc.

 

I am also considering starting a new thread here with just the 1st Release putter photos. Let me know what you think about that idea.

Dave has really outdone himself. I was on the phone with him earlier, and he wanted me to tell everyone Hello, and he is excited about the love his designs are getting.

 

Now that we are moving into the Version 2.0's the engraving in the cavity will change just a little bit. The new cavity engraving will reseamble this putters :clapping:

Hey Chris,

 

Those are some amazing looking putters. Used a dog leg right "hog" putter when I qualified for Doral back in '01. But these are just something completely amazing, different, better, and over the top. The technology in those putters looks amazing and someday I will try one. The long necks are really slick looking.

Chris, I think you said in a previous post that he was working on a model similar to the Squareback. Maybe you called it a Fat Bottom or Fat Back or something like that. Is he still working on that? What is the timeframe you think? Maybe this has already been answered as well, but I was wondering what the typical cost of these are. They definitely have my attention. Absolutely beautiful looking putters. Some of the cleanest and most defined lines I have seen!! Thanks for the pics!

Thank you for the kind words.....I appreciate that (especially from someone that, even though I have not met, consider to be really good people).

 

The hog putters were ahead of their time and were actually really, really good putters. It is a shame they did not take off as well as they should have. They were 5-7 years to early. Being a guy that struggled with my putting, the Hog putter was one that helped to change that, even if for just a while. It was really solid and looked amazing. Now Dave has taken it to the next level with these putters. They are equally as good looking as most putters that are out there today. I am sure they perform as well and are excellent putters.

 

I think that it is a compliment to Dave that you are supporting his line. Being on WRX for a while I know that you are a putter guy/expert. You love putters and love to try new ones and different makers. To see that you are showing support for this line only tells me that, on top of what I know about Dave and his history, these are great putters...bottom line.

 

Like I said in my previous post...when the timing is right I would love to give on of these putters a shot and see what they are all about.

The putter you are talking about is currently being called the Fat Back. That putter is still in the works. I will find out some more info on that one, and will post pics when I get them in :clapping:

The Hog's were ahead of their time. They did work great though, and Dave has only improved on the concept.

 

I do believe in Daves work. I likr that he thinks outside of the box. We have been talking about me taking a more active part, and now we are close to finalizing it :clapping:

I see a convertible in the mix soon... Due to the fact that you can change different aspects of the putter, it may quell some of my putter whore tendencies in keeping the same putter in the bag for longer than a month :clapping:

The putters are slotted to be available for ordering on the 16th. My goal is to have an order form posted on here on the 13th. If you have any specific questions, feel free to pm me and I will do my best to get you your answer within a day. Be advised, Dave is currently at Torrey Pines this week, so I only get to talk to him once a day.

Okay Everyone, got some answers for yalls questions :clapping:

 

Starting with the Fat Back - This putter is going to be released in 10 days. You can choose any neck to go on it.

 

To The Lefty's - Dave did not forget about you. He is offering the M1A ( anser style head ) with your choice of Standard Plumber Neck, Hand Bent Necks, and Tig Welded Necks to start :)

 

Double Bend Shafts - Yes, it will be possible to order a putter using a double bend shaft, rather than a standard neck. This will be an option on the order form.

 

Order Form - This will be posted Friday PM. All prices will be on the order form.

I'd love to have any (or all) of them. The most forward thought out and best looking putters out there in my mind. Would be nice to have a few of them but if I paid that much for a putter my wife would likely take half of everything I own.

Chris, will there be there be options for stamping, types of face milling, etc?

The milling will pretty much be what you see. As for Stampings, there will be room for some stampings, depending on what exactly you would like. Moe to follow on that when the order form is posted.
