Whoa what's going on in here? Haha. Looks like I need to go snap some pics and post up an update eh? I pretty much hibernated all winter and didn't do much out back, but now that it's warming up things should start rolling again.

Truly love the inspiration and love of the game that people are showing. Have been thinking of a synthetic one for a while in my backyard. Has anyone tried to do one on top of a turkey (sand) mound in their backyard, either real or synthetic?

To have the green installed, it was around $4000. 4 holes, longest putt from hole to hole is around 16'. One of the holes is uphill, and there is a ridge between 2 others that will make the ball break right to left or vice-versa going the other direction. Has 2 different areas of rough to practice little bump and runs. It rolls at around 10-11, but I can adjust that by adding or removing the "sand" that is brushed into the surface.

I can finally do the permanent setting of all the turf now, which will hopefully all go down next week. After that I need to get my flagstone for the waterfall spillways and get that all cut and installed (which will create infinity edges for the top ponds). Last thing will be filling in the backside of the top barrels with soil and planting some Vinca that will grow up over the top of the natural rock wall. This will hopefully hide the barrels fully and give a nice look to the top falls.

 

And then it's DONE.

This is phenomenal! i was literally thinking about doing this (on a smaller scale) in my backyard before I saw this.

If you don't mind me asking, barring all the pond/garden expenses, what's a ballpark estimate of the cost?
