Update to my backyard green/bunker/teebox

Thanks again for all of the encouraging replies. Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving.

Current status:

Deck is getting prepped for sealant and is about 95% ready. All of the decking boards are fastened to the subfloor, and the trap doors are all done. I then used a 3" belt sander with 40 grit to hit all of the high spots and restore the wood to it's original luster, and followed up with 120 grit to make the surface smooth as a baby's butt. The sanding itself took over 20 hours. Composite shims were used on all low spots prior to sanding, so the finished result is a perfectly flat deck with no variance in height from board to board.

It is raining today so everything is covered in plastic right now, but I will get some pics up this weekend when the last little bit of sanding is done. Planning to stain on Monday morning.

I still need to build the steps, but it isn't a huge priority at the moment. Next up is the pond rock... and then we need to finish fixing the putting green. Will be pretty much done at that point.

I'm inspired. I just took out thirty trees and now finally have a yard. I was entertaining the thought of putting in a small bunker. I had 250 cubic yards of fill brought in and basically it's a clean slate. Not even sure what I'm going to do yet but after seeing your project a bunker doesn't seem to be that much of a big deal. Looking forward to seeing the final product!
