Surprised that nobody has chimed in yet with the 2009 equipment innovation that was highly received by a number of golfers on this board : Cleveland Niblick
That may be my best purchase for 2010!

Best buy was definitely the MP-600 Driver. Swing smooth and carry 250yds consistently and straight - even slightly off centre hits.

Still coming to terms with my new MX-25s (that replaced an old set of Mizuno Faldo-i). Flight is higher (welcome). Slight reduction in length (not a problem... 6 iron now consistently 160yds). But very sensitive to swing coordination. Fast (anxious) arms leads to major hook. Get it right and it feels/sounds wonderful!

Here in UK we have many public courses with small, hard greens (since they must survive loads of play). The MX-25s are the first irons I've had that have a chance of stopping!

This was a big year so I don't know where to start...

1. Nike One Tour D ball...a godsend
2. SkyCaddie SG-5...it did take 5 strokes off my game
3. Titleist AP2's (original)...I didn't know golf could be so much fun
4. Sun Mountain Superlight 3.5...well, it's a christmas present so I haven't officially gotten it yet

It was a good year.

I bought a Bushnell V2 and a Leopold GX-1. Both worked out great, and there wasn't more than a yard difference when measuring between the two.

Nice and small, either fit into the top pocket of my carry bag.

The big surprise was that using them inside 80 yards inspired confidence to go right at the flag, which I never had before. Instead of guessing at the length of backswing on a partial shot by eyesight, I gained confidence by knowing exactly what I had left to the pin. Of course, that is not to mention the confidence in choosing the right club from 100 yards to 200 yards.

I nominate both, or either, as the best purchase for 2009.

I'm kinda old and have been I've been A TM guy for many years but on a lark bought the Adams Speedline (2009 model-I liked the paint job on the bottom of the club.) and I REALLY - REALLY hit the ball ten, maybe fifteen, yards further with zero loss of accuracy. Got me thinking of a Speedline 3+ now. Note: I'm one of those strange cases that for whatever reason fare better with OEM shafts than custom. Custom fitting for driver has me at zero for two! and of course out more dollars than I care to say. My Speedline is 8° S. Swingspeed is 98-100. My good ones get in the fairway at about the 270-75 range. My bad ones threaten those on adjacent fairways. -dayll

Bought two Adams tech A4 prototype 9015D heads in 9.5 and 10.5...look at my signature...both are fabulous...I haven't hit the 10.5 with the ATTAS 8"S" enough to say I like it better than the 9.5 with the UST Tour Black X yet...but both are easily game savers for me. tomg1969 introduced them to me which I am eternally grateful...amazing how I've been soo frustrated with drivers for so long...now I have two that are incredible!!!
