Favorite Mallet?

Thinking about making another switch

Anyone really love a mallet putter? If so, which one? I'm thinking about adding one to the rotation.

Yes.....Despite how pretty a blade is I can't put with them. I have just switched to the Ghost putter and used it today for the first time on the course....Absolutely love it......

I'll just say demo some RIFE putters. If you've not tried them. I have 3, love 'em all. Although I'm currently rockin' an Odyssey white hot blade ?? HMmmmmm

Bobby Grace AN-7 HSM. The only mallet in the rotation and the only mallet I've never sold. I've used an Odyssey Rossie and Bobby Grace Mac M5K pretty successfully too. I am liking the new "mallets with hosels" though - Rife Aussie Mallet, Squareback 2, Fastback 1.5 and Odyssey 330 Mallet. They are the only OTR putters I've seen with toe-hang and I like that aspect in a putter.

Mallets that really impressed me enough to buy include, the SC Red X. I have an adjusted and stock version both bought on Ebay for approx $50. One is face balanced and the other is 3:30-4 o'clock. They putt very soft with a nice sound. Easy to aim. Another mallet that blew me away when I first received it was the Never Compromise Z/1 Alpha. I took it out of the box and immediately sank every single putt I tried for the rest of the afternoon practice. Gray Matter center feels like it is both hard and soft and it is very forgiving. I am not as consistent with a mallet or this would be on the list for a gamer. Some others you might want to try are a blend of blade and mallet. I have a Rife 2Bar Blade and a SC Detour that both blur the line between Blade and mallet. If you haven't tried an SC Futura, you should if you get a chance, most either love it or hate it.

Odyssey Rossie or center shaft 2 ball. I want to try the ghost pretty bad though

I putted with a MacGregor Bobby Grace V-Foil GT-Mini for quite a while. It was 34" and had the copper face. Felt great and had good MOI without being huge. Nice and simple with alignment stripe down the center. You can pick up the Bobby Grace V-Foils for next-to-nothing these days. Golfsmith had a bunch of the larger ones in the used section but they were new.

I have never had a mallet putter in my bag, ever. I am a blade guy through and through....or so i thought. I am currently gaming the Cleveland T-Frame and i am putting lights out!

Rife Mr Beasley or Mizuno BC-3 I switch back and forth between the two, both are excellent choices for the Mallet fan!.

Currently switch btwn a rife two bar hybrid cs and a black itsy bitsy cs...really want a rife Barbados cs either black or stainless....

I used to love blade putters (Newports & Anser Style). But I switched to a 2 ball and has never looked back. I just don't feel confident anymore looking over a put with a bladed putter anymore.

If you consider this a mallet I would highly recomend the Odyssey White Hot XG Sabretooth. I like the look of it, and it feels really good on every putt. So consistant.

Dave Curry makes an awesome compact mallet. I love my Big Oak.

Rife Barbados or Aussie Mallet. I had the former and have switched to the latter. I don't know why the 3 simple lines on these is better for alignment than anything else I've tried, but it is. And the roll is pure.

White hot tour #7, I thought I hated mallets and heavy putters but it flat out performs for me. All the knee knockers are automatic for me now. And no, I'm not paid by callaway lol.

I have a buddy who is lights out with the two ball. I have too much of a gated stroke for a mallet but he swears by it. I may try the the rife mr beasly
