Favorite Mallet?

After trying 5-6 putters I have finally landed on the Voodoo Daddy with a UST Frquenct Filtered shaft. My putting has become more consistant and I feel like I can trust that I will make more putts.

I still think that the DF Rossie 2 is the best mallet ever and It is back in the bag.....................again.

Always been a mallet guy and it would take a lot to pry my White Hot Rossie out of my bag but I'm looking at trying out a Scotty Red X3 or Rife sometime this season just in case there's something better out there....

I have never had a better putter, mallet or blade, than my Rife Deep Blue.
I feel like it literally swings itself. Best distance control I have ever had.

It is awesome how good your game looks when you make 10ft putts...

Will - I liked it. I liked it alot. Great on long lag putts and really good on the short ones where I had a bad habit of pulling them. Still working on the feel with those 10 - 15 footers. It's an awesome putter for the money. I would however, love to see a heavier "tour" putter. I think you'll enjoy it.

Bettinardi BB-32 is pretty damn near perfect....I've been ho'ing a lot of putters lately, and that's the one that kicks them all to the curb.

Squareback 2, tour black 2 ball or any form of the Sabertooth 2 design. All of course are plumber necks though, and all come with non-plumber options. Hope that helps.

I am going to have to go with the BB32 myself. I am a mini-mallet whore and have tried just about everything out there. I lean toward traditional milled putters because I like the responsive feel. My 2 favorite's in the category at the moment are Bettinardi's BB32 and Cameron's Fastback. What puts me over the top with the Bettinardi is that it feels a little more refined and the perimeter weighting is better. The fastback appears clunkier than the stealth-like BB32. I realize it's harder to find a BB32 to try, but I know there are plenty on the bay for a good price, or just go through the studio.

I don't think you can be disappointed with the Bettinardi!

However... if you like more of a high moi and less traditional head... the 2 ball is never a bad choice. That design is officially revolutionary and timeless at the same time.

Went from a blade to a mallet and shaved 12 strokes so far. For a straight back/front putting style, I
tried a good dozen for about three weeks before buying Odyssey White Ice Mini-T, though I loved the White Ice
F7 as well. Talking about game improvement! WOW! Must say was about to buy the Fastback 1, when I came across
the Odyssey White Ice series. What works for me, may not work for you. So try the putters before you buy.

I can make more 6ft's in a row with my Rife 2-bar mallet then anything else I've tried, but back me up to 40ft and I'll leave myself with more of those 6 footers then anyone should from that distance, so out of the bag it went. With my G5 Anser I feel like I can put the ball in that proverbial 3ft circle from almost anywhere on the green.

Favorite mallet is currently a Never Compromise NCX Ray. Alignment aids are amazing and it has a very unique feel. The entire setup of the putter encourages a proper stroke.

I am as solid as I have ever been with my Spider. I also went left hand low after 35 years of struggling and I cannot believe I did not do this years ago. Now I actually stand over a putt and I feel like I am going to make it.

I have more than a few Rife mallets, and they seem to do it for me. My latest is the Aussie mallet which I got for a super price. I also have their mid-mallet and Barbados.... love 'em all!

There are some quasi-mallets like the Abaco and Betti Studio Stock 4 which are heel-toe weighted, but I don't know if you are considering those as well. If so - the two I just mentioned are superb!!

Another vote for Bobby Grace's Amazing Grace. For a more traditional mallet style the Grace Sanibel DCT is money. Love the DCT series for the money.

I always hated the look of mallets until I bought my Rife Barbados on a whim, and now I can not imagine taking it out of the bag. It is by far the best putter for me that I have ever tried. I would recommend it to anyone interested in giving something different a try.

I love a mallet putter. I use them exclusively. I think the new Bobby Grace F-22 is the best I have ever used. I seems to line itself up and has the softest insert ever. It makes any ball feel like you are using balata again.
