What's Everyone's Driver Swing Speed?

I thought WRX was a more diverse population of golfers. Not all X-stiffs....I am curious to know where everyone's at..

I went on a Vector and my SS was between 80-85. I'm booking a lesson right now...

 

That's why I play a 13.5* driver with a Prolaunch R. I need high launch and high spin to keep the ball in the air.

i am mid 120's as of yesterday, but im not game enough for a x flex driver. however the only club i swing with more than 75% power is my driver and sometimes my 3 wood.

I voted for 96-110.. I can bring it to 115 sometimes...but my normal cuts are below 110.

I play a stiff shaft in the driver as well...but my fairway woods are untipped X's.

around 105-110 apparently with a driver. I will be testing again this week. The vector i think calculates your swingspeed so I dont know how accurate it is. I had 172 ball speed but I know the Ft-3 is hot so I don't know how that ratio would work out.

Never been on a launch monitor, but I am sure my SS is around 155 with a ball speed around 220. I play a tour only xxx-stiff tipped 1". Prior to obtaining the tour shaft I was playing with a 1" diameter lead pipe as a shaft with a custom hosel adapter to fit my r7.

 

Honestly, my swing speed is on average about 100-105.

96-110 MPH for me - My average is right about 105-109 - I play stiff tipped or Ozik SX in woods and S300 in my irons...certainly not a gorilla here, but it works for me!!

the lead pipe had too much torque so I went with the new prototype bi matrix- lead shaft with a tour titanium tip, all better now.

 

 

average somewhere in the 100-110 range, maxed out on a monitor at 115. Playing a tp7-x and it feels absolutely fabulous. Playing at sea level and average about 275-285 off the tee.

Last time on a launch monitor i was anywhere between 113-118mph.I would hope with some work this year on technique and some fitness work i may be approaching 120mph a little more consistantly now.

 

Funny thing on the LM - i could swing all day long in complete balance in the 115mph range - but as hard as i went at it (with no comprehension of balance what-so-ever !!) i couldnt get more than 119? mph.Roughly a 4mph increase for all that extra effort :man_in_love:

 

Just goes to show that swinging at 90%+ of your maximum and staying in balance and striking it as best as you can is more important.....

121mph average with 127mph most I can handle. Ive gone higher than that but it gets to the point where I miss the middle.

Seriously though, for some of these replies, this thread is worthless without pictures of the launch monitor.

 

It's like the handicap threads where most of the guys are 5 and below. . . Yet when it's time to tee it up, most of them are no shows. ;)

 

It is refreshing to see how many guys are willing to admit they swing in the 90-100mph range. Shows what kind of a place GolfWRX really is. :crazy:

heck, I'm in the mid 80s :fool: but hey, now that I'm getting more fundamentals in my swing down, the speed should be coming up :crazy:

Average swing speed is 117, I can jack it up to 123 but lose all control

I took a swing on one of those Impractis 4 view machines and my 4 iron speed was 99 mph . . .

Mine is about 119 consistenly but if i really go after it i can do 125. The wierd thing is is when i try to slow it down, which i would think would make me more accurate i can't even put the ball in play. I think the problem is that i have super fast hands so i can slow everything else down but not my hands.

I posted 96 before but that was before I found out about launch monitors and how inaccurate they can be, I have slowed my swing down a bit also but i'd say I am between 79mph and 86mph. I'm guessing around 80-82 w/ the irons and 82-88 w/ the driver.

104 MPH. Hey it's not as high as most here but I'm not particulary bothered. Swingspeed doesn't go hand in hand with scoring ability.

was 98-102 last time I checked...Have never really cared just so long as I hit the middle of the clubface more times than not. I'm shorter than a lot of guys I play with but they're also 20 some years younger. I still always win the cash.
