Off topic: Roland, I read The Handmaid's Tale in college this year, actually quite a good book. Hated the class.

On topic: I really hope Woods keeps it up and keeps playing strong. I love watching the guy do well, and I think he has some of it back. Maybe not all he used to, but its definitely an improvement over previous tournaments.

I have never heard of the book but some Wikipedia-ing tells me The Handsmaid's Tale is set in a place called the Republic of Gilead. My handle and avatar are homages to my favorite character I have ever come across, the antihero gunslinger Roland from Stephen King's The Dark Tower series.

Ok I'll agree on the slacks thing, but that's as far as I go. Remember, they are also obligated to wear pants. I'm sure those things would look sweet with a Nike polo and shorts. He's merely giving her the golf course bump that is afforded all women: 1.5-2 points out of 10 added to their attractiveness, ie, if she's a 6 on the street, she's 7.5-8 on the golf course.

I find it very interesting that he doesn't want to go into the mechanics of his new swing in ANY sort of depth. It's easy enough to find resources and forums with breakdowns of his new swing and exactly what he is doing now. But it's strange that he won't say it out loud in front of the media. I wonder if he has Hogan's secret or anything like that in mind.

Sounds to me like he just didn't want to get into it. There's only one way to swing with a "smoother" tempo and hit the ball just as far or farther then arms moving fast through the swing and that a better pivot/rotation of the hips/body. He says he's compressing the ball more which is a direct result of that.

true, since they are prototypes, we have no idea. May never know, they may not become available, who knows. Even if they did make them, I wouldn't know as I don't buy Nike branded products. That's just me. I choose, use, and wear other brands. Titleist, Mizuno, Foot-Joy, Tommy Bahama, Polo.
