I ordered a 15 degree with the V2 85 FW stiff - I haven't received it yet (should be here tomorrow or the next day), but the demo club I hit (outside with real balls) seemed to be a great fit for me - I had no reservations about ordering that shaft. I've also read the posts about the V2 being very stiff - I think it comes down to a matter of what shaft is a good fit for you, not what shaft is too stiff (or not). I thought the NV was a noodle - other people think it is perfect for them. Just a matter of what works for different people.

I was fit by a CPGA Pro on the Vector Launch Monitor and he said he doesn't know too many people that can hit a 90 g shaft very well in a bore-thru. I tried it for myself and I found the ball flight was VERY low and it felt VERY boardy.

I think I'm going with the Titleist 4375 shaft in that club. It has the flex point and torque values that fit my game best.

I love it. Best shaft out there if your a higher swing speed player IMO

I've got the 906F with the V2 85 Stiff and I love it. I've had it for about 2 weeks and played about 4 rounds with it. It's by far the longest and most accurate 3 wood Ive ever had.

i have to agree, this head and shaft combo has been absolutely lethal in my hands. this is one of the first fairways i've managed to consistantly hit and i think it has a lot to do with the heavier shaft. i've always preferred steel to graphite in my 3 wd and thought id give this guy a try cuz of the weight. after about 5 or 6 rounds so far this club is fantastic. not too low ball flight and all it does is find the fairways off the tee. its also rather ego boosting to 'lay-up' with my 3wd and still outdrive my playing partners.

p.s. buy this club!!!!

I'm a huge fan of the 906. The head is awesome. I've tried 2 different ones with the V2, and the two definitely played differently. For whatever reason, both were identical, but one was much easier to load and get the ball airborne. The only common thread for me was that they both felt much stiffer than stated flex and very boardy. I picked one up with an NV and had much better results, even though I was never a fan of this shaft. Still not satisfied, I sent one to Joe Kwok to have a Diamana Red Ion 83gr Stiff installed. He built it to 42.75" and tipped it a half inch. Complete satisfaction! The club is amazing. Crazy long with the tightest shot dispersion ever. I couldn't be happier!

If you look hard enough, you can find it in stores for 199 shipped and no tax. You can't beat that on eBay, plus you can get whatever shaft you want. Golfsmith and retail stores are $219.99, and you're limited to V2, NV and 4375.

I had a 75 V2 S flex in a driver for while earlier in the year, then tried the V2 fairway/hybrid in a 17 3DX when it was available. Both seemed fairly firm for me for a stiff flex. The driver shaft didn't feel all that different from the 652X speeder I was using prior to that, and I had a chance to hit the V2 Hybrid right next to a 17 3dX with the HB904 in X. I thought they were very similar..with the V2 just very slightly softer.

It might be because it is a 91 gram shaft. Very heavy for graphite. Most are in the 75 gram range.

The weight of the UST V2 85 is a weight of 91 grams for the 906? What is the UST V2 75 weight at?

What is the weight of the standard UST V2 shaft in the 905 heads?

I have the 906 with v2 stiff and it is PERFECT!!!! SS w driver is 108-112. I think it plays in between s and x, thats why its perfect for me, I think x may be pushing it a little. JMO I think X will play like X+ or XX

Read all the warnings but just bought the 906 w\ V2. Just hit inside but loved the balance and control with this shaft. True it is slightly "boardy" at first but thought the same of my TFR iron shafts as well on first try and (I think) I love them. Be curious to see the ball flight and hitting off the deck.

When I first got my 906, I was really disappointed with the V2 after hitting the 76g version so well in the 905. What I've come to discover is that the shaft might not play that much overflex, but the tip plays so stiff that you really have to load it to get any kind of flight. I've got a very smooth swing (ss 108) and can't get it off the ground. My friend with same swing speed, maybe even lower, creates an awful lot of whip by starting down with his hips before he gets is hands fully to the top. He hits it great. Even though I'm disappointed with the shaft in my hands, I think the description on the Titleist website of needing a strong move to the ball to load the shaft is very accurate.

I'll second the zcom pro 95 in it. I'll also say that I hated the club with the V2, I didn't like the feel, the trajectory or really anything else about the shaft (black, silver, black, yellow, grey, black is just a shock to my brain). With the zcom it is the best fw wood I have ever owned. If the V2 was a better feeling shaft like diamanas, zcoms, oziks... I could forgive the paint job.

BTW a boardy shaft is a bad feeling shaft, a smooth feeling shaft is a good feeling shaft.

I just ordered a 15 degree with an X-flex Fujikura Z-Com PRO 95 shaft. The beauty of it....NO UPCHARGE!

exact same set up i have right now, but i am going to be changing it to the real PRO 95 which is not an option from titleist. the Stock PRO95 which says exclusively for Titleist on it is no upcharge and is a very good shaft, however it plays slightly weaker than a real on would and seems to get the ball up a bit more with slightly more spin (in other words the tip section is slightly weaker)

if i ever had to play a stock shaft for some reason that would for sure be the one i would use! better than most shafts out there

Had my 906 w/ V2 outside for the first time today. Wow. I could not be happier. I was upgrading from a 975F 13.5* with crap shaft so this is a huge jump forward. I could never hit well the old one off the deck and was hitting the 906 off thin mat lies with nice high ball flight. I was actually thinking of getting a 906 18* just to allow me to use it more in the fairway, but went with 15* which turns out to be easy enough to hit. From what I read here I was expecting to have to put a bit more time into making this club work.

First time hitting the V2 and reminds me of the first time hitting Rifles. Ball flight is straight and strong and does not ballon and none of the "weak right" or "low left". Yeah, if you don't load the shaft properly it will feel very boardy. If you do load it, you can hit it higher and crisper than other high flex-point shafts.

My driver is now being re-shafted as we speak with a V2 76. Will order the 585H with V2 as well.

I really like the feel and sound of the head on the 906. The darker finish and cleaner detailing makes it better looking than the 904.

Anyways, there is my opinion.

Seems like Titleist is starting to get their act together with the 905, 906 and 585.
