Did some Red Translucent fill on my New X Forged last week... nothing special but really adds a nice look to my bag!

Great looking irons :good:

I agree, those look fantastic! Going to do my X Forged in Metallic Purple with some gold accent on the 6 and 9 irons for the team I'm coaching. Go Griffins!

Only thing I didn't like about the X-Forged is the lack of paintable areas! But sometimes, simpler is better.

I used "Tamiya Color" acrylic paint. I just dabbed it on the logo and words, let it dry an hour or so and took some denatured alcohol on a rag and wiped it off. It wiped off so easy it was stupid. Like it melted it, but left the paint where I wanted it. Try it. I picked it up at a hobby store.

My first try at it. Using Model Master enamel from the local hobby store, some gold and black fill on my Scotty Cameron Studio Stainless Newport 2.5, now dubbed "The Saint".

BTW, denatured alcohol works great for cleanup of the excess paint. I cleaned up the grip with soapy water and a toothbrush to clean up the letters, and a Scotchbrite pad to resore the velvet finish.

This thread inspired me to mess with my clubs. I'm in the process of doing my irons. Being that I work 13 hour days, I only have time to do 3 or 4 clubs per day. I paint them after work, the next day I clean them up, and paint a few more. I've got SW-8i done, and painted the 7i, 6i and driver last night. I'll clean those up tonight and get back to work on some more irons. I only bought red and white paint, but I'm thinking I need to get a different color for my 3W and 2H. The Mizuno 3W has a blue and black shaft, and currently has blue, black, and white paint fill. The 2H has a green Aldila shaft, and is a Callaway x Hybrid, and I'm pretty sure it has blue, black and white paintfill on it right now. I'll have to figure out what I want to do with those. Anywho, here are some of them that've finished so far. It's pretty easy, as others have said, I'm just a methodical person who likes to take my time doing things, so I'm not in any real hurry to get them done. On top of that, I'll be working every day for the next few weeks (have only had 1 day off this year so far), so I cant play anyways, even though the weather has been in the 70's lately. I used Testors paint and a toothpick. I used Testors thinner on a shop towel to clean them up once dry. I think I'm going to go back and put some clear nail enamel on them when I'm done, just for some added protection.

Just for reference, this is what they looked like starting out. I'll post a pic of the driver when I'm done with it. The gold marks are now red, the "R" and the "425" are white, the "7" and the "t" and "M" on the words Taylormade are red, and the rest of the words are white. The 3 iron is just for reference to the stock paint fill on the sand wedge.

This may be the best looking paintfill on a Scotty I have seen. Great job!

Thanks! It was actually fun and easy to do, I'm happy with how it turned out.

I'll be posting some more once I get them finished.
