Paint Fills

I did my CG Golds, CG14s, Cobra HS9s and DWS Hybrids.

Just basic Yellow and white. A least now you can see some of the words!

I saw previously in this thread where someone painted their bottom groove on their wedges. IT looks good to me. My question is will that effect spin or ball flight at all?

hopefully the bottom groove of your wedge isnt getting too much of the ball, shouldnt affect it much if at all

I did the bottom groove of mine. I like it because it helps with alignment and give me perspective on the angle I open the face for certain shots.

Would nail polish chip after use?

Could you remove acryllic paint with nail polish remover?

Not sure if anyone answered part 2 above. I used Nail Polish Remover on a Scotty and it worked perfect. Just let it soak in there for 5-10 minutes and you will start to see the paint fill color in the liquid. Just take a toothbruch or toothpick to get the excess out.

My University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux color-themed 52*. You can see the colorations better in this one. The process is really easy to make these for those with any oil can/raw wedges. These are my first two I've done. I have a third one I did for myself that I'm finishing up the paintfill on, so no pics yet....but for my first two, I don't have much to complain about.

 

Now to perfect the stamping process... :) (any tips?)

What i am curious of is how you don't remove any of the paint already in the grooves of the club when you go over it with painter thinner, acetone, or goo b whatever afterwards. I would love to tool around with this as an artistic hobby that still involves me, my sticks, and a tv, but i just don't know how you guys (and gals) fill that tight lettering with paint, then go over it with a cloth or towel with a chemical that if comes near the grooves will smear that as well? HELP haha

When you are removing the excess paint from the wedge. you apply the paint remover and wipe off the area. Can i go over the area I painted earlier with the paint remover cloth to make sure that all the excess paint is gone? or not?

I want to remove the orange stripes on the back of callaway ft irons, but I'm concerned acetone etc. might damage the insert that the paint is on. Anybody have any experience with this?

i think some people in the thread did this to the cleveland CG red/gold irons and had no problems with the rubber inserts...not sure if the same as ur issue. or u can try on a 3iron that u dont use?

I was "bored" this past weekend so I re-did the paintfill on my Vokeys and Titleist 762 Irons.

My first attempt at adding paint fill to any of my clubs. I changed the "tooth" from Sabertooth from red to white.
