I missed something here.... Do you remove the old paint fill first Before appling the new stuuf? and ... if so what is the easiest way to remove the old paint fill?

thanks

I just did 4 of my clubs so far, will finish the rest tonight. I just did the Cleveland name on my new cg2's, but will probably fill in more once this is done.

I was really impressed with how easy this is!! I used enamel model paint and wiped off with the enamal brush cleaner. I was too careful with the first one, but realized that I completely coat the stamps and just wipe off the excess, do not have to be 100% careful to keep in the lines.

Pictures from my phone, so not the greatest quality.

this is my scotty cameron newport beach putter. shaft hs been cut down to 33" and shaft sugar filled for additional weight. it a real easy putter to use and has a great sound. i need to fix the back. there is a combination of wear, and first time paint fill mistakes.

With the golf season almost being over, I am not having as much bonding time with my sticks, so I want to 'pimp' them out a little. My sister has nail polish, but it is all the metalic stuff, so that probably won't work. Would getting the solid stuff work the best, or would I be better off going with a modler's paint?

Thanks, Bryan

I just did mine with model paint and it came out nice, but the paint seemed to be a little thick. I am probably going to try again with nail polish and see which i prefer better. If i like the model paint more i will remove the nail polish and go back to that again. Like you my season is more or less done here so this gives me something golf related to do as i sit in front of the tv with golf channel or the week's tournament on.

If anybody else has opinions i would love to hear them as well.

My pimped out CG2's. The bottle the paint was in said red but they turned out pink, the pic's don't really show it. I reckon they look better than if it had been red.  :clapping: Now I can tell the boys they got beaten by me using girls clubs :clapping:

MMM I think u have a rodent problem.....everyone view the large albino rat in the second picture on the window cell :drinks:

That's not an albino rat, it is some ceramic (or whatever material it is) thing that goes with the ceramic dog on the other side of the windowsill,

What do you recommend to fill "paint" in the lines evenly? A high quality brush? Toothpick? What about the larger areas? What would you recommend?

I have been inspired...so here is my work...

Looks pretty good, but I think on the wedge, you didn't let it dry for long enough and a little bit came out of the 3 lines beside BV. You will get better as you keep doing it.

The picture seems a little fuzzy and the make up looks like something you would find on a big girl at last call at a country western bar. But other than that it looks great...

Just kidding looks a little fuzzy but I can't tell if these are the best paint

fill pictures ever... Try sending some sharper pics... Then we will know for sure.

Going to have to pimp my S59 Tours now in all white, except for the dot, to make them look like my EYE 2 long irons. Especially since you guys talk about how easy this is. I'll post pics soon.

On a side note, my S59 6 iron is already losing some of the OEM paint on the sole in the "6". Kinda makes me wonder if PING is getting a little lazy in some of their painting practices.

Guys I just filled my irons/wedges and left the excess like was suggested, how long should I let them dry before I remove the excess paint, and what should I do it with. I have had them drying for about 30 minutes now, and I used the standard Testors Model paint that you would get at any craft store.

So:

1) How long should I let them sit?

2) What should I be using to wipe off the excess?

Thanks!

I did a small paint job for a customer on his Pro Combos.

First I reshafted the set with MCC MFS 58+ in bright orange and then painted those small dots on the back of the clubheads in the matching colour....

Looks great!

I didn't take a picture before they were picked up, maybe I get a second chance to take one...
