So, it's official --- my TMBs are on their way to Texas to their new home ---

 

Just couldn't see myself keeping two iron sets around, especially with them still in the current line of Titleist irons- I could still get some ok $ for them ..

 

Now just waiting for that box of PXG goodnes to arrive

What SW did you have them built to?

Well. I could tell on the range (toe, toe, thin, toe, toe, thin)

 

And then I measured them up with some playing partners - They arrived at std. length, instead of the requested +1/2".

Everything was good on the front-end (they were ordered correctly), but were built wrong- Not sure if they stuck the shafts in the wrong heads, or just cut them too short...

 

Anyways, pretty disappointing. But, my fitters are taking take of me.

 

They'll be next-day FedEx Monday morning back, built properly Tuesday, and they anticipate I will have them in hand Wed. (Thursday at the latest)

That sucks! So sorry to hear that, always a bummer. Can you buy PXG as heads only? ;)

I see you have the Vice Pro in your signature. I found a neon version on the course and played it for several holes and really liked it. I've read some reviews on this ball and some said they experienced distance loss off the driver and it didn't spin as much around the greens. I didn't seem to experience either of those.

 

Do you have any feedback on this ball compared to the Pro-V or MTB? If you've already posted your thoughts in this thread, just direct me to the page or post #.

I agree 100%. I do admit, however, that I'm pretty anal about the specs of my clubs. I've been known to rebuild an iron to change the swing weight by fractions of a point (progressive swing weight set, no, I'm not kidding). I've gotten into the habit of deliberately ordering new clubs with the intent of rebuilding them (usually go over length so I can cut the shafts myself, single wrap of tape to make pulling grips easier, etc). Considering what clubs are costing these days (not just PXG either), there is no excuse for them not showing up EXACTLY as they should.

Nice PXG's! Yeah, missing that 1/2" sounds like a recipe for thinning it every time. They would have been great in the wind though!
