OK, you like Japanese-flavored stuff. Srixon's and a Mizuno-branded Betti. Not sure why you don't have one of those fancy new Mizuno JPX-900 drivers in the bag.

Not really a totally Big Boy bag with extra-stiff what have you but no fairways, that 16-degree hybrid and all the stiff shafts say you don't have any trouble getting it up (so to speak).

MIdsize Z-cords and no glove. Sounds like you must have working-man's hands, no dainty office-jockey mitts on you!

All that's good stuff. Now on to the alignment sticks. One alignment stick is a good thing to have. Two means you must set up for some serious practice sessions. But when you get to three...are we perhaps compensating for something a little overmuch? Sorry but someone had to say it.

I'd lose one of the sticks and look into that new Mizzy driver then you ought to be good for the upcoming season.

That's great, thanks for that.

The alignment sticks came 3 to a pack, they're TaylorMade TR3 sticks from like 2011.

I have been known to like me some Asian food and women, maybe that's where the affinity comes from.

I was hitting balls yesterday and a nice guy came up next to me and asked if he could squeeze in and I said sure. As I was loving over took a look at his bag, 2 Scotty Camerons, titleist CBs, new NDMC grips on everything and marching titleist 917 woods. Stepped up and proceeded to hit low wormburbers all over the range. All I thought to myself is, "man that's another WRXr right there"

I'll shoot first and ask questions later...

You are obviously a good golfer with good taste as evidenced by the 33s but also smart enough to rock the hybrid when necessary. You are up on the latest equipment but don't necessarily care what others think as evidenced by not delineating a year for your M2 or M1. You are also not afraid to mix it up as shown by your Vokey and Cleveland wedges. You are def not someone I would play for $$$.

Not sure what people would think of me.. 4.8 H/Cap

Titleist 910 D2.

Nike Vapour Flex 5W.

Ping G25 3 and 4 hybrids.

Ping G25 irons 5-PW.

Ping Glide wedges 50,54,58.

And a Ping Karsten Anser TR 5 putter.

Would think your a guy who grew up playing eye2 irons. I know guys like you that play the g25 cause they want modern feel but like the older ping look.

I am also curious and like the idea of this thread

Ping i15 Driver 9.5 w/ axivcore red 69 tour stiff tipped one inch

Ping g30 3 wood w/ 707f x flex

Ping g15 hybrid 20 w/ pwr 90 x flex

Ping i20 w/ cfs distance stiff 4-w

Ping tour gorge 50 and 56 w/ s400

Ping glide 60 ts w/ s400

Ping pal 4

Good looking bag and definitely a solid all around set-up regardless of where you're out to play - lot's of workability in that bag I'd wager.

Clearly a Ping guy. Maybe grew-up playing them? Just like the no-nonsense look and feel? Don't blame you either way. Smart player who plans out how to play the entire hole before hitting each shot and knows when to attack the pin vs. throw a dart to the center of the green and stay away from the big mistakes.

Here goes...judge away:

Driver: Ping G30 9* Tour 65 R

Fairway: Ping G30 9* Tour 80 R

Hybrid: Ping Crossover 3 AWT 2.0 S

Irons: Ping i e1 (4-gw) Project X Pxi 5.5

Wedges: Ping Glide 54ss & 58ts

Putter: Ping Vault Voss

Bag: Hoofer 14

Is your last name Solheim :) Guessing you are a touch wild with the woods which is why your cap is 10. You hit an average number of greens and sometimes struggle to get up and down.

My bag:

915 D3 Rogue I/O 70x

915F 3w, stock stiff shaft

915 2h, stock shaft

Ap2 4-P 2* upright x100

Scotty Newport 2

Other clubs that make it in occasionally:

Ping G30 3h Matrix Ozik Altus 105x shaft

You got me. Grew up playing ping. Was told it was like the mafia, once you make your bones with ping, your in for life. Def been the case for me. I love working the ball, and so far this set up has reformed my hoeing. Was invited to play with a guy i caddy for and his buddy looked at my bag and says, "I thought you said this guy could play? Ping shovels and a grandpa hybrid." He had the player look and bag, titleist hat and a full titleist set up with blades. Needless to say I smoked him and enjoyed taking his money. My philosophy has always been to play what works, some guys I feel play what they want to work but doesn't.

Too worried about my own game to give a s*** what anyone else plays. Wouldnt judge anyone of their clubs either. Only thing that gets to me a bit is playing with a guy who has very poorly fit clubs. Played with a 19 cap the other day who was 5 ft 6 with a 46.5 inch driver and was wondering why he couldnt find the centre of the face.

That's why I cut mine down to 44.5". 46+ is absurd. Shame on whoever sold that guy that club with that length shaft.

Thought the same thing when reading the original post. That extra little bit of length is awesome on the 1/10 drive where decent contact is made and you get an extra 15 yards down the fairway - frustrating on the other 9 when it means cutting one 40 yards right and out into the trees.

Curious what y'all would wager the strong/weak parts of my game are just by looking in the bag:

Callaway XR16 Pro 9.0* on an Oban Kiyoshi White 75g 05flex

Callaway Big Bertha Alpha 816 set at 16* on an Oban Tour Prototype V430 75g 05flex

Callaway Apex 18* Hybrid with Mitsubishi Fubuki AX h400ct

Callaway X-Forged ('07) Irons 4-Pw with Project X Rifles 5.5

Edel wedges 51, 55, 59 Degrees with KBS HiRev 2.0 Shafts

Edel E-3 Tourque Balanced Putter (Gamer) or Odyssey Black Series Tour #6

If I picked up this bag caddying I would think that you are a good ball striker that struggles with your short game, and are a single digit. I don't know why but for some reason most people that I know that went to edel wedges and a putter got fitted because they were struggling with their short game. Maybe I'm wrong.

Well, apparently I play old man clubs. I might need to look into that!

Also you underestimated my swing speed a little, but I'm ok with that. As far as "wizard around the greens", well, we all have our moments ;-)

This op is me when I caddy in the summer. It's usually the first thing we all do when we grab a guests bag. If a guy comes up with a player set up, I look away before they hit their first few balls to listen for the sound. Thats the real giveaway if a person lives up to their bag. I would also say that most bags end up representing the brands that their pros push as well. Our pro pushes ping and titleist, and our assistant callaway. That is also the majority of the members set up these days aside from Taylor made drivers.

Would consider myself a better than average ball striker, and on the hunt for singe digit hcap before a year in the game (May 15th revision is coming quick!) Edel stuff came early on as the master fitter is a regular at the e-golf club I regularly practice at and has been the best game-related investment I've made. Nothing replaces touch and feel, but now I have no excuses when it comes to the short game.

Newbie giving it a shot:

Callaway GBB 2016 AD-DI 6S

Ping G30 3W AD-DI 7S

Adams Red 18* and 23* Hybrid Stock Altus S

Ping i20 5-UW S-300

Ping Glide 58SS S-300

Odyssey Works Versa Limited Edition Red/Gray #7 or Odyssey Black Series TD 1 Wide

Wilson Staff Duo Ball

Sun Mountain Phantom Bag

you're a guy who's got slightly above real-world average swing speed and is content with his iron play and has been sticking with what works for the past few seasons. old school guy who doesn't care for the trend of playing a driver and 12 wedges - one lob wedge is enough for you to blast out of bunkers and pitch around the green. however, you're always chasing more yards with the woods and hybrids. based on the choice of the adams red, you probably play a natural draw and want to avoid the "hook machine" hybrids.
