Golf ball close out's at Target

I keep hoping and wishing that Target messes up again like they did with the Top Flite D2 Feel a few years ago and had them for like $1.97 or something like that. I think I ended up with 20 something boxes.

I went to several stores in Augusta over Christmas break, and 1 had Nike One dozens for $19.98, the other had them for $29.98. Not much consistency for them from store to store.

Man, you guys are lucky with the Targets in your areas. Mine has to have the WORST selection of golf balls. Nothing especially at a discount either.

I got a bunch at like $3 or something. I still have a few boxes and may just sell them. I have way too many boxes of balls. Probably 8-10 of the gamer v2's from last years clearance, 10 or so of the Z Stars when Dicks was clearing them out. I play the V2's in crap weather/winter and the Z Stars the rest of the time. I find myself not going through balls a lot with the Zstars because they are so durable, they are an amazing ball.

You'll see those low prices in a week or two if there are any balls left. They usually discount them again every week or week and a half. It wasn't a mistake because they do that with all their clearance stuff until it is gone.

I picked up a box of Callaway Tour IS for $17.98 today. They also had Z-Star for $20 and TM TP Black for $15.

Checked out the local Target in VA, and most balls were cleared out except a box of Bridgestone e7. Last box for ~$12. Thanks for the heads up guys!

Maybe this is common knowledge, but often the closeout price at Target is lower than what's actually marked on the box. Make sure you take it to a scanner to get the real price.

that's a good point to bring up...couple of years ago when they were clearing out the REAL tp reds, there was one box left in the aisle -- no price -- took it to the register expecting to see $25 to $30 bucks...it rang up at $7 dollars! i told them i would buy a whole crate at that price, but that was it, they had no more in the store.

I found a box of Callaway i(x) for $25 and change. I don't know much about them since they appear to be discontinued though.

Yeah, I'm not much for shopping these days, I leave that to the wife. Don't give a penny to Wal-Mart, but I'll head over to Target after work, and see if they have anything in my neck of the woods like Big Ben.

From the day this thread came out through last weekend, I've been making daily runs to my one (and only) local Target with no luck!

Everyone go back and check prices. Two Targets near me have cut prices on balls in the last week. The Callaway iS and iZ balls that were originally $27.98 were cut to $17.98. There were about 15 or so of each box at $27 and when they went to $17 they were cleaned out in a day or two. I got lucky being there the day they went down and grabbed a few. One store still had a few dozen of ProV's left at $32.98, which is crazy.

On the other hand, Golfsmith has TP Black practice for $15, and Penta practice for $19.99.

Worth taking a trip to your nearest one, that's for sure. They also had Srixon AD333 $9.98.

The Callaway high end Balls are good. I don't play Pro V1 like most lower handicappers. I have had a lot of success playing the Callaway balls (HX tour)- 6 handicap. The iS is the softer cover ball (more spin) which I prefer and is the 2011 model. The iX is from the previous year. The iZ is the current harder cover distance ball of the 2011 model year.

The Target prices you paid are about half normal price at 17.95, when they go to the third markdown @ 75% off they will be a real steal at $9 +-! There won't be many left at that price.

Picked up the last dozen if Zstars at my store for $20 along with all the Tour Nike gloves that were left in my size that were marked at $7.98. Can't beat that price for a leather tour glove!

There were some bridgestones for $8 that I may go back for. It looks like most of the stuff had been picked through and it seems like this was the 2nd markdown on the balls.

$11 is a steal for the Callys, and any Bridgey for $8 is awesome

Picked up 3 doz cally tour is for 17.98 and 1 doz z stars for 19.99. If any of you find Nike one tour d I'll trade my callys for them.
