Has anyone had double barrel Big Bad Baptist or Elysian space dust? I picked both up today on a whim.

Regular BBB is fantastic for the 11-12 price, I would imagine Double barrel is good weather it is worth the price bump I guess we shall soon find out :wave:

 

I have a big box of awesome scheduled for delivery Tues. Filled with a bunch of stuff I have yet to get my hands on. Next weekend gonna be fun couple of WRX legends in town from the great white north. Golf grilling and high abv beers FTW

Space dust is solid. Quirky if I remember correctly, but enjoyable.

 

Drinking another higher math from DFH. It's mellowed a bit; not as sharp with flavor profile. Still noticeable that it's 17%, but not bad. Still have a few left, so I'll wait another year and sip again.

 

After this one is a Thomas Hardy ale from 2007. Report back later.

I also like the regular BBB. I actually have one in my basement that's been aging since last August. I'll probably drink it over Xmas break.

The Thomas Hardy is still a strong ale, but it's really sweet. Like maple syrup sweet. And nose. Nine years old and hasn't turned, so that's a plus. Last one of the lot.

Speaking of coffee, picked up some High Westified from Lagunitas today. Pretty cool they put it in regular 6 packs this year. $13 for a sixer of 12.2% beer is freaking amazing nowadays.

Also last night I had some Lagunitas imperial stout aged in Willett barells on draft. That they served in mug!! Delicious none the less.

Anyone try the Short's batch 5000 yet? It's a 14.5% triple IPA. I grabbed a single a few weeks ago, but am saving it for xmas break.

I have heard good things but did not try. Did have some superfluid on draft downtown recently and that was fantastic.

Well UPS strikes again. I had a big box of goodies my buddy from Iowa sent in advance of his weekend trip out here. Box thrown out, guessing they scanned it and figured out it was beer. I'm pissed and he's out a lot of $
