Toss in some Sculpin, Bell's Two-hearted, RAR Nanticoke Nectar, Evolution Lot 6 and you should have one heck of an IPA pack that is mostly local. (The Enjoy by is out of VA now!!!!)

It was. One of the best stouts I've ever had. By far the smoothest 15% beer I can remember.

The weekend lineup

 

This one was pretty predictable 2014 by a wide magin > 2016 > 2015 the 15 was not as bad as I remembered but there is still a twinge of sour/offness to it. 2016 was good but still not as good as even fresh 2014 was. I think 2014 is going to be the last of the "great" BCBS moving forward with them pasteurizing starting in 2016 I do not think they will develop over time as nice as the non pasteurized pre 2016 did, but at least there should not be any infection problems. Not to mention there are quite a few BBA Stouts that have surpassed BCBS.

 

Another just all around solid beer from the Bruery. If you like their anniversary beers and stouts you will like this as it is a blend of both their old ale anniversary beer and black tuesday.

 

 

Probably my favorite of the weekend. Reminded me a lot of bomb! but barrel aged. Heavy coffee/cinnamon on the nose but subtle on taste compared to the nose. Just enough vanilla to add a touch of sweetness

 

 

The Modern Times Mega Fortunate Islands still one of my favorite IIPA's and we ended up picking up some Almanac IPA as we got a little burnt out on 13%+ beers night one.

I found this Double IPA while visiting CT. I don't know how widely it's distributed, but it is worth searching for!

I had the Baptista on tap last night and I was blown away. They also had double barrel big bad baptist but I couldn't stop drinking the Baptista.

WOW, can't believe I'm just now coming across a thread of this caliber among golfers....lol....bit of a beer snob myself....Here was a "light" load I brought back from my trip to Portland, ME back in September..hard to see, but stops were made at Trillium, Allagash, Bissell Brothers, Foundation, Maine Beer Co, Ommegang, and a few other small pit stops......I missed Tree House while in the area though!! :angry22: CHEERS!

 

I saw someone mention Heady Topper....Focal Banger is dank-a-licious too!

Just got in two growlers from Cellarmaker! Filled on December 8 in SF, and arrived on Guam on the 16th. One growler of Rodney Dankerfield (DIPA) and one Orange Julian (IPA). Really looking forward to these.

 

Also had my 2016 BCBS and BCBBW shipped at the same time, but that box says it's still "in transit."

Round two of BBA TenFidy hit shelves. Grabbed 3 from my shop today. 1 is going back east to repay a favor for someone who sent me a BBA Plead the Fifth. Nice to add a couple more to age to the one I had left.

 

Had a glass of Bruery 9 Ladies Dancing while I was there. Sold brew not my favorite from Bruery but a nice surprise to see on tap

Bummer. Glad it wasn't $25 in my area. Hopefully I like it, I'm a big Rye fan. To date, Greenbush's Delusion Rye is the best BA Rye Barrel beer I've had.

My two well 1.5 for tonight. Still have a pour of the Abyss for tomorrow and Ill bring something else with me to dinner too.

 

I have had this one sitting since summer of 14 and it has aged very gracefully nice caramel color and low hop profile for an American Barleywine

 

2015 Abyss. A lot going on with this one in a good way, very complex and intriguing beer.

Had the BA Ten Fidy on Christmas night. Very nice. Just enough bourbon remnants. Then went to the Even More Jesus from Evil Twin. Never had the plain OG Jesus, but I would imagine it is a great beer. The Even More is BIG to say the least. You know there is alcohol in it, which is slightly different from most stouts like this. It's strong, but not bad...

I had the alesmith double IPA on tap last night. I have to say I have been impressed by all their beers so far.
