Ok ok, I'm heading back tomorrow or Thursday morning.

Btw, I've had the White Oak before, tasty stuff and deceptively strong.

Always bad to start the day posting/browsing in this thread. It's 9 am and I'm already thinking about other beer stores to hit up while at work or on the way home.

Picked up 2 Iron Hill Russian Imperial Stout's this past weekend. And a 4-pack of Flying Mouflan (oak barrel aged barleywine) and 6-pack of Mad Elf from Troegs.

Already have my ticker for the local can release on Saturday, and think there's another one at Evolution this weekend that's a bourbon barrel aged russian imperial stout.

And of course the BCBS on Friday...

I just got some Mad Elf last night too, along with Racer X and Abita Bourbon St Chocolate Stout, which looked interesting. Recently tried Evolution's Lot #6 which was a solid DIPA, and only then realized it was local to MD. I'll try to stop into Total Wine Friday to see if I can get some BCBS, but it's not the end of the world if I don't get one. Lots of other good options out there now.

Evo is great. I know one of the head brewers (he brought in the Pinehopple IPA recipe when he got hired.) The are right downtown Salisbury, but I can get their stuff anywhere around here. Lot 3 is a killer IPA and Lot 6 is even better. I work in Cambridge, so its extremely easy for me to grab RAR stuff at lunch straight from the source. The Nanticoke Nectar IPA is a little better than Lot 3 and my go-to IPA right now.

Went out to get lunch, came back with a soup and a sandwich.

Ate the sandwich, but the soup turned out to be rancid

Complained, got a full refund for the entire meal.

Walked over to beer store and picked up White Oak and 120 Min IPA.

Good lunch.

I'm not even dealing with bcbs this year. If i can get a couple after work Friday great if not I'm sure it will pop up throughout the year again like it has the last 2 years here. After the 2015 infection i don't think this year's release will be as sought after as years past. Plus there are so many other great bba stouts out now too

Just so you're prepared, the 120 is almost a barelywine. I'm not sure what is different now other than the batch size, but it's not even close to the OG that was first released. That stuff was gold. Over 18% but still smooth, and had enough bite of an IPA to not just be boozy. Worth a shot, don't get me wrong. A solid purchase.

Totally agree. My 2015s were okay, but not worth the hassle for.

I only got it because they had a few bottles. Right now I'm on a DIPA kick mostly, so always looking out for good ones to try there.

A coworker of mine came across four bottles of 120 min @ $9.99 each. I have four at home already but it's tough to pass up, so I traded him a KBS for one (I have ten bottles of KBS at home currently).

I also grabbed my first ever bottle from the bruery today. I went with the white oak.

I probably should have just gave him $10, but he's a friend and didn't have any KBS so I thought it was a nice thing to do.

Here's what's in the stash right now, back right is a BCBS 2015 and Hardywood Bourbon Barrel Sidamo. And yes, all the 4-packs are Backwoods, maybe 1 pack 2015, the rest 2016. Oh wait, there's a pack of Breakfast Stout back there. Anyway, I think for Turkey Day, it'll be some Backwoods, Mad Elf, the Bourbon Street, and White Oak, depending on whether I prioritize eating or drinking.

In the fridge there are singles of, you know, the daily beers, lol:

DFH Flesh n Blood

DFH Indian Brown

Oskar Blues Gubna

Firestone Walker Union Jack

Rogue Hazelnut Brown Nectar

Alesmith Nut Brown Ale

Founders Porter

Where r u located again? Virginia?

Yup. There are a few places I know of that get it, but I can never make it in time. Plus I feel like those typically go to the store insiders or people who are connected anyhow.

I'm hoping now that founders is being distributed in Maryland I might be able to get my hands on some KBS. Picking up a case of backwoods bastaxxx sometime soon.

I am starting to think Backwoods isn't as limited as it used to be. Or some stores just get a ton, and others get none, because when I got mine, there were at least 4-5 cases stacked up still unopened. The thought did cross my mind briefly to take one or even two whole cases.

It's not as limited as it used to be. Granted I love close to the brewery, but it's a boarderline shelf turd at some stores around me. I never used to see it sitting around but there's still stores around here with tons of it.

The one GBS that I had was really good. Unfortunately my dog broke the other bottle, and lapped up most of the liquid goodness. He had a raging hangover for a solid day.
