Picked up two bottles of the new Avery vanilla bean bourbon stout, first sip is freaking great, right up my alley. I love vanilla, love bourbon, love stouts. 22oz bomber @11% for $10. Bought two and I'll buy more

Picked up a 2015 Abyss best after date of 12/08/16 gonna move that one to the back of the pile not a fan of it fresh but it ages very very good.

Went in to my favorite bottle shop/ bar today to watch the ATT. I might get slammed for this but the manager saved me a bottle of BCBS Rare and I passed. I just could not bring myself to spend $60 on a single bottle of beer. They had hopslam behind the bar and I thought it was meh good not great nor worth the hype. Regular BCBS on tap which I thoroughly enjoyed

My pickups today, and from what I can tell so far the barleywine batches I got are not showing up on the infected lists.

Wow. Breckenridge Twenty Five. Vanilla Porter aged in rum barrels. Not quite as complex as a stout but still warming at 10%. Solid bottle.

 

And I don't blame you one-putt about skipping a $60 bottle. I've had some great stuff at $10-15 so spending a couple of multiples is something I can't justify. I just don't see it being THAT much better.

Yeah and that is actually a fair non marked up price for the rare, really the big selling point is it was aged in 35 year old heaven hill bottles. Its good great reviews averaging 4.65 out of 5 but even the reviews say $60 is too much and its a 500ml bottle :cheesy: :cheesy:

I have two '13 Eclipse sitting around and I'm hesitant to crack them, but it's getting that time!

 

I'd love to get one and try it with Black Tues, Abyss and the eclipse and speedway stout....

I just walked past stacks of hopslam imo $20 a sixer way too much considering the shelves full of other good/better IPA. Passed on tweak too.

Jealous of the Ballast Point and Bruery products. Ive only tried a few from each and they were excellent.

 

Asides from Sunday Morning Stout, I picked up Hopslam for $14.75 a 6 pack, The Abyss by Deschutes - which you should age for another 10 months or so, and also Anderson Valley Briney Melon Gose.

 

Should I get the last six pack of Hopslam at this shop for 14.75 or not...

I paid 14.99 a 6-pack at Kroger for Hopslam, so your price is actually not too bad compared to the gougers who jack it up to $25+
