Ping TFC169 Tour Shaft. Opinions

I need some input on this shaft. I've hit the Std TFC169 shaft and the tip is a bit soft ands due to that it imparts a bit too much spin. Sooo i've heard good things about the TFC169 Tour shaft and I do like the counter balance feature of the new Ping shafts. Anyone got any input on this shaft?

I have it in my G20 Driver as well cut down to 44.5" by Ping. Stock stiff felt too whippy and with the Tour I was more accurate and getting more distance. This has been the best combo for me ever. Hitting long and straight bombs. I feel like i'm cheating with this club. Ultimately depends on your swing though. Go test them both out. Non tour shaft has had a lot of good results for people from what I've seen on here too.

Have it the g15 4wood, the g20 and g23 hybrid. Xstiff Awesome shaft.

Curious to see what people think about the Tour version of the shaft as well. I almost picked up a g20 8.5* w the Tour 149 in X but I was still worried about the trajectory. I think an aftermarket low launch shaft would be necessary in the G head, personally. I'd go digitally lofted 8.5* w/ a low/low shaft and bomb it. Anyone have the Tour in X?

I had the Tour in my I20 stiff and for a stock shaft it is pretty good imo. I did however tend to go left more than I wanted. Had a chance to go to a ping demo day last Saturday outdoors in San Diego. Ping put me on the track man and I ended up returning the stock and ordering a RIP Alpha 60. The RIP kept the left side out of play and brought spin down a bit. Club was ordered from Ping on Tuesday and showed up next day in San Diego! 1 Day Turnaround! Ping customer service is awesome.
First round with new combo in AM. Will report back.

I currently swing the G20 9.5* with the Tour AD DI 6X. With this set up I finally found a driver to knock my FT-3 w/Fuji 757 out of my bag. I was seriously long with this g20 set up last weekend, one tee shot was slightly up hill and carried Looong.

On a fitting at PING on trackman, my launch was 11-14 degrees, spin rate was 2200-2400 rpm, at a swing speed of 114-116 mph.

I'd be interested in how fast you swing. I only swing about 100 MPH and I felt the stock stiff shaft spun way too much. I didn't know if I could handle something labeled, "Tour" stiff, but it was great. Perfect trajectory and long. I have a 3 and 5 wood with this shaft. I have the DI 6/S in my driver.

I have hit the tour in Stiff and X. Its an awesome shaft - the G20 driver and 3 wood with the tour shafts = amazing.

I have the TFC Tour in my G20 4 wood. It is a much different shaft than the normal TFC...much tighter feeling with a lower trajectory. I had some serious control issues with the normal TFC and but those have been corrected with the TFC Tour. I still toy with the idea of an aftermarket shaft but that is just my inner ho trying to be heard.

I haven't tried the TFC Tour in a driver, but I had some control issues with the normal TFC in a G20 head, so much so that I sold it shortly after getting it. FWIW, my driver ss is ~105.

I am at 114 with a quick transition, and I went with the stiff. It's a pretty stout shaft for sure.
