My New Handmade Putter

Just got these pics from Tom. I am speechless with the quality of the craftsmanship. I cannot wait to feel how the copper insert rolls. We designed this after the studio design #5 with a non offset flow neck. I went with the copper insert because I loved the feel of my TEi3 and wanted a similar feel. Tom is great to work with and he can do pretty much anything you want done on a putter. I also got a custom head cover from Delilah at Girlygolfer.com to go with it. Kari Lajosi has some putters with inserts like this, but aside from the pics you posted of Tom's work, I have not seen it elsewhere.

generally, the lowest cost customs come from sunset beach and C&L. they're "custom" to some extent. C&L is basically just custom stamped and maybe custom ground, with a few other options thrown in. sunset beach can do anything you want, but the more you do the more it costs.

now, for a "hand made," lamont, slighter, and byron are your guys. search aroudn a bit and you can find the numbers for all these options.

I like everything except the heads of the screws in the back. There needs to be more attention to detail. I would be a little upset if I received that with the screws in that condition. If I pay good money for a custom, I expect to get a work of art, but that's just me.
