The Matte looks so nice at address. Ive hit the Matte tour head, and it feels so nice. Im sure they feel the same though.

I have had both the matte and glossy in hand as well. ......Thats what I like about the Titleist Tour vs. retail items, no difference in performance

I love that matte finish on the new Titleist's as well. I'm going to do a matte finish on an older r7 TP to see how it turns out. I wonder though if the gloss finish is designed to add rigidness to the crown. I guess I'll find out. I'll post pics if it turns out great, if not you'll never here me bring this topic up again. (cool) ;) :cheesy: ;)

From what I've been told, 17* is the lowest lofted 585 made. I would love to get a 15* and stick a three wood length shaft in it.

Thanks dude. Exactley what I was thinking. Titleist if you are reading we need a 15* version. Some of us have swings that fit irons and hybrids better than the FWs. I wonder if they have made any 15* versions for tour use? If so and someone has one PM me especially if you are willing to part with it.

You can get more options from titleist, they only list a few shafts on the web page but you can get a variety of shafts installed.. Talk to you local titleist rep or send titleist an e-mail.

As you said your Titleist retailer can cutom order a ton of options. Call Discount Dans and see what htey can do for you. Drop ship it to your door.

I love the matte finish, but I have found that it scratches all too easily. I was fortunate enough to spend some time in the Titleist tour van this past Masters week and the gentlemen built me a 906F 15* with a V2 85X that has the matte finish. I loved the look, but after a couple of rounds, it had a small scratch toward the toe, not sure how that happened, but the moral of the story is, that finish is kick a**.
