Do you wear a watch?

I wear either my G-shock or my Submariner. Doesn't really bug me or hinder me in any way.

I wear a watch all day but take it off to golf. I dont like it moving on my wrist when I swing.

I always wear a watch, but not on the course. I tried, even bought the Citizen eco drive titanium golf watch. It is ultra light and does not effect my swing at all. My problem is when putting I can see the reflection of the sun and get easily distracted.

I wear a small Iron Man Timex watch. It is so light weight I do not even know I have it on. It is black in color so it doesn't distract me and is thin enough so it doesn't interfere with my golf glove in the wrist area.

Yup, can't wear a watch while golfing, but I do have a Packers watch/bottle opener that is clipped to my golf bag.

Wedding ring also comes off at the beginning of golf season, and gets put back on when the flags disappear.

I stopped wearing a watch as a kid because I couldn't stand it on my wrist while playing. I'd take it off and slip it into my pocket. Over time, I just started slipping my watch into my pocket instead of wearing it. Now, I never wear a watch and don't carry one, either -- with cell phones and computers, there's really no need to carry/wear a watch anymore. I remove my wedding band for golf as well -- it's just not comfortable. No gloves, either

I wear my Garmin Forerunner 110 GPS watch so I can calculate the distance i walked.

I cant wear a watch, glasses, or a hat when I golf. Its more than likely a mental thing, but I feel like to completely changes my game.

I wear my Rolex every day but I put on my garmin to golf. I was told that the impact of a golf ball to club was bad for the movement of a automatic watch.

I have a few watches that I rotate. A Brietling Croswind, Omega SMP and a Panerai 104. They all have been worn at the range and on the course. The shock has never done anything to them. As of late, I have been putting them in the bag as I play. I think it's because I have a safe place to store them in a valuables bag and not just floating around with all my crap in the bag.

Yup.. I used to play in my automatic Baume and one day it stopped winding... Had to have the mechanics basically rebuilt.

Only on Mondays and Fridays ........... The extra 136 grams of weight on my left arm ensures my putting stroke keeps that forward press. For tee time after 10 a.m. and before 4 p.m. I will switch to a brushed satin stainless to reduce glare as I address the ball.

I don't wear one as it restricts my wrist **** on the backswing. Might be a probelm all lefties face or is it just me?

 

Oddly enough the 2 players on tour that first come to mind who wear watches while they play are Phil and Bubba, both lefties. I don't know off hand which wrist they wear it on. I'm a righty so I'm not sure about your question.

 

As far as me, I never wore a watch while playing, but then I put my Rolex on a nato/zulu (nylon) strap last summer and it was extremely comfortable so I was able to play with it on without noticing it.

 

My watch now is back on the bracelet, which I don't mind taking practice swings with, but I don't wear it during my rounds anymore because of a combination of 1) a little distracting and 2) fear of stretching out the bracelet.

Interesting .... A full size s/s plat 40mm yachmaster with a nato. Looks sharp and I'm sure it helps with the sweat/metal rub.

My watches are all automatics, and on the follow-through I can sometimes hear the winding mechanism whirring as if spun at a high rate. That can't be good. So I don't wear any more. When I see the commercial of Phil Mickelson and his Rolex, I can't believe the sound doesn't bother him.

Does wearing a watch change the "swing weight" of your body? I play with a guy who forgot to remove his watch one day, and he said the extra weight changed his swing. No he wears it all the time.

My grandfather died when I was young and left me a Bvlgari which I wear frequently on the golf course- mainly because it has a rubber strap and it isn't nearly as heavy as a Rolex

Nope. I dont wear a watch normally and most of the time I dont care what time it is when Im on the course. I use my smartphone as my golf GPS, so if I really want to know what time it is, I can just glance at the time display on my phone.

I can't stand wearing a watch, I can't even wear my wedding ring. I find those things to get in my way, I don't even like to much in my pockets just a tee, divot tool, and coin for a ball marker thats it!!
