Do you wear a watch?

cant stand having much in my pockets though, divot tool and tee is more than enough

I don't wear a watch while playing, mainly because I want to relax and enjoy my round, rather than clock-watch. If the watch is on my wrist, I have a hard time not checking it.

Always wear a watch, more recently my Garmin S-1. Doesn't bother me in the least.

I have a great watch, but I don't wear it on the golf course. My wedding ring comes off, too. I can't wear anything on my wrists and hands except for the glove when I'm playing golf. When I'm not playing golf, I'm usually wearing the watch.

I tried wearing my watch when I first started playing about 10 years ago...couldn't do it. I'm to the point now where I even take off my wedding ring when I play.

I always have a watch on. I have been a watch collecter for 36 years. In fact, I am wearing two as I type this. I also service a d repair watches as a hobby.

I tend to start with a watch and as soon as I hit a few bad drives I take it off and blame the watch for affecting the swing, then end up slicing the next drive regardless

Haven't worn a watch at all - on or off the course in the last 40 years. I haven't worn a wedding ring on or off the course for close to ten years. Yay!!!! :-)

Does anyone have any experience with the Tag Heur golf watch?

Hi there. I have been a follower of this website for a while now but this is my first post and I cannot believe it is about a watch!

I have been wearing the Tag Heuer golf watch since it was first released in a limited edition and love it. I have had no problems with the durability of the strap (it is still on the original) and it stays in place during the swing. It is also very light so it really is not noticeable.

I am probably slightly biased since I feel naked without a watch but I like the fact that when I go on a golf trip I can just take the one watch.

Well, I normally ALWAYS wear a watch....except when golfing. Just doesnt feel right, it slides up and down, gets distracting, yada yada. Also, I don't know if it happens to everyone, but I'm a faster swinger and if I wear a watch on my left hand, my right forearm, just above the wrist literally tears open. Granted, I play a lot, and always hit a lot of balls. But it seriously hurts, and then bleeds everywhere and gets to be a hassle. Normally the end of my golf glove wears that same spot and if its early in the season and I'm playing enough it still rubs raw and can bleed, but doesnt really hurt or bleed as much. Later in the season it gets calloused and the glove doesnt bother it. The watch just tears it open so fast...

I wear my g-shock when i'm golfing otherwise, I have a tissot and a xetum that I switch between for work (I feel naked without a watch on when I'm wearing a suit) but I'll never wear for golf due to fear of messing up the internal mechanisms.

Wore a golf watch to golf once, by the end of the round it was destroyed, hands were off, face was twisted, crystal was broke, never tried wearing one again. Actually I don't even wear a watch anymore, had my appendix out in 1999, the IV scare rubbed on my watch, I stopped wearing one and have never gone back to wearing one.

i have a few golf-specific watches..

my favorites are a white Lacoste, black/white Adidas, and a white Swatch..

they all have rubber straps as i perspire a lot and the fabric or leather straps won't cut it..

i also sometimes wear my daily wear all-metal Breitling chrono when am too lazy to change watches..

No watches here. I check my cell phone if I need to know what time it is. But once you're retired and on the golf course, it's just time to have fun.

I'm a big of a watch ho and used to always wear them while playing. I basically trashed my Baume and Mercier while hitting balls (the self winding mechanism broke) and since have not played in a watch. Having to ship your watch back to the manufacturer for 6 months to be completely rebuilt pretty much sealed that deal for me.

I bought the tag heuer golf watch. The one with the rubber strap but I dont even wear it while golfing.

Actually...it was a bad idea buying it and I cant even wear it at the moment becausw the band ripped from normal use of latching and unlatching. It costs 300 from tag for a new band or around 200 to 250 online....
