Nike Covert users

Can you buy the adaptor anywhere online yet?

I have a friend with a spare tour 3 wood head and some shafts for me but we obviously need the adaptor.

Want the tour 3 wood alongside my performance Driver!

Didn't go through the whole thread but...

I hit my buddy's Covert Tour a few days ago and killed it! I was pretty hesitant to say the least, as I've never been a big fan of Nike Golf equipment, but the driver is a winner. Didn't even really notice the red crown after a few swings.

The KK SILVER is a very good shaft. For an OEM shaft it's exceptional. My CHS is around 115mph and I hit it plenty fine. I have a Oban Kiyoshi Black in mine but only because it's the perfect fit shaft for me and my load profile. If I didn't already have it I would be still hitting the KK Silver.

GolfWorks.com has them and are supposed to be the ones direct from Nike (last I checked they were backordered). Plenty on eBay as well.

I liike my Nike Covert only gripe a have with it is it has started to chip on the under side of the club on the Red paint....Have contacted a Freindly Rep to see what he can Do...

Took a chance that the shaft I had in my 910D3 would give me same positive results in the Covert Tour...Aldila RIP. First range session today, much more consistent than the KK Black. Struggled with losing it right with Kuro, RIP I only lost two bad right out of about 40 balls hit. A few fades, some draws and many pounded right down the middle and looked like they wanted to ruuuun. 9.5 left for me. Plus, it just looks .

Left Hand Covert Tour.....12.5* neutral with stock KK Silver 60 Regular....out of the box I didn't get along with the CT....butt trimmed 3/8" change grip to black and red NDMC, swingweight remained the same d2.....first round with new setup and found that I still needed to choke down......well as others have stated, LONG n STRAIGHT!!! so happy with club I ran out and grabbed the matching adjustable 5wd!!

OBTW .....CT is very similar to the Superdeep from yesteryear...

Mine is doing the same exact thing. I'd guess within a month I'll have no paint left along that edge.

well I finally decided to upload pics of my coverts. This thread really died but I'm sure there's others out there with pics they can show. I've had these about a month (I took the pics right after I got them) and love them. Performance driver at 10.5 Neutral with Graphite Design Tour AD DI-6 shaft and performance 3-wood with Kuro Kage Silver shaft. Upload your pics people!

Covert Tour 10.5 Neutral w/ Diamana WB 83x. Thing is a BEAST! I did have one problem with the driver, I somehow smashed in the top of the face and it concaved the crown to a point. No problem, took it to my local Golf Smith and the boys at Nike had em swap it out for a brand new one. Note to self, slow the swing down!

Wow, very nice of the folks at GS. I hope I am as lucky as you are.

I'm waiting to see if NIKE will replace my Covert Tour head because the screw on the sole is loose/rattles and there is a squeaking sound when tightening down the head to the shaft.

Problem is, I bought it new from eBay. I contacted the seller, who bought it from GolfGalaxy. He is trying to get it replaced for me through NIKE Golf CS and his NIKE rep. Fingers crossed...

I had the same thing happento mine....also along the red pointy triangles that are pointing towards the front of the club, the chipping along this area was pretty bad. Nike exchanged it (took an age though), my new one is doing the exact same thing.

The thing is I love how the club performs, but in a few months the club is going to look horrible. Really bad paint quality with this club!

Actually its not... You don't see it when looking at the ball, pretty much physically impossible.

I'm thinking you guys are using 'unbreakable' tee's? You know, the solid plastic type?

I switched back to wooden tee's after 5-6 hits, no issues but I assumed there might have been if I kept using a solid tee.

Funny enough, I use the wooden tees on the range (mostly because I pick them up from other people leaving them) and with this head I am swinging it so well that I usually either chip away at the holding spot, or split them in half. That is the weirdest thing for me is seeing them split right down the center. When I use the Zero Traction plastic tees there are no issues.

No one seems to be selling the ferrule on it's own, just the full adapter with the ferrule. Call up Golfworks, they were selling them. Seems they've pulled them from the website though, as I can't find the link at the moment.

My club builder put a longer ferrule on for me so I have the stock one sitting around if you need it..

I couldn't find the covert ferrule, so I just put a regular 1/4" ferrule. Looks great.

What kind of swing weights are you fellas seeing in your Covert tours that are playing at 45 inches or below. I know if I purchase one I am gonna take it down to 45 or less. Would love to put my Tour Spec Fuel 6x in the adapter, the raw length of the Fuel is 43in. so I dont know what the finished length would be when adapter is installed. The shaft has not been tipped.

I can't say what it is if you order it that way. I originally ordered it stock and it came in at nearly D6. Cut 3/4 off and it was at D0, put couple inch long pieces of lead tape on for a D2.5 and it feels great.

P.S. Possible effects on SW, I use midsize grips. This is standard wrapped to midsize.

I just built a Covert Tour with a Fuel 70s. It started stock at 45.75"/D4 with the Kuro Kage Silver X. With Fuel 70s at 45" was still D4. Now at 44.5" at D2. That's with no weight adjustment to the head at all. All with standard Golf Pride Tour Velvet grips (50g). Measuring mine, it looks like your 43" raw length shaft would play at 44.5" Hope that helps.

I haven't got one on my bag (yet) but the tour 3 wood is awesome.

Just can't bring myself to give up the trusty old sonartec yet and pair the 3w with my Perf Driver.

As always, I would say go and hit them back to back.

Bought a Performance on ebay for $200. Just got back from the range and I must say, this thin feels sweet even on mishits. First two shots were a little close to the toe. Then I remember the shaft is longer than my current gamers so choked down a little. Started hitting straight bombs! The ball marks showed that I was still hitting towards the toe but still closer to the sweetspot. Haven't tried any other setting besides the 10.5 and Neutral since I forgot to bring the wrench. Can't wait to use it on the course Thursday.
