I saw a tour pro do it on web.com event.
That's why he's probably still on the web.com tour. Poor etiquette.

I very rarely do. However, my moms husband pisses all over. He just pulls it out in the middle of the fairway. Usually stands Behring the cart, but still in the middle of the fairway.

It is in a man's DNA to piss outside. It's been done that way since creation. Heck, one of the perks of living in the country is walking to your back porch to relieve yourself.

With that being said, be respectful about it and avoid the open when doing it.

Who needs a tree? If I'm one of the few out on the course (and many times I am one of the few because I play a lot of twilight) I'll whip it out at my convenience if I have to.

I just can't understand how people can get through life if they can't anticipate the need to go in ten minutes. Yet certain shrubs next to 2nd and 11th tee boxes have a distinctively different color thanks to them being used as public bathrooms. I use the loo at the turn and before/after the round
Obviously, you have never been old.

When you get my age, when in doubt whip it out.

I voted #1 but the issue of a private course is an issue for me too. EVERY private course I have played has bathrooms on the course so I just wait to use those. If I were on one that didn't and I really had to go, i would ask the member host what the consensus is...if they said have at it...then I would but I am representing that member so I can't be rude and "be that guy".

THAT being said, I play a couple times a year with a female coworker and I am respectful to her. If I have to go I wait till we are near a VERY wooded area and I excuse myself. We played 2 years ago and walked up to a tee box with a guy **** in hand letting it fly. She saw him fully exposed and shook her head. I went right up to him that I better not see that again or there would be an issue, he knew there was a lady behind his group. MOST of the courses in MA are very wooded/tree lined...there is plenty of opportunity to go hide in the woods....not on the tee box!
amen.... 99% of all courses have a deep wooded area somewhere that you could get completely out of sight to go... The guy who hangs it off the Tee box wouldn't ever play in my group again...I don't know if its laziness or just some "macho" "im not afraid to whip It out anywhere" thought..But its childish and absolutely uncalled for...

A little change of direction , but I actually witness ladies do this during their day of the week . I would see them sitting down in the pushes . And once they did it behind a cart

So it happens to everyone , it is a bodily function . Some have weak bladder and can't help it

One of my co-workers (girl) always pees on the course haha

Wouldn't be a discussion out here, done on all courses from the lowest goat track to the most elite. We generally don't have rest rooms/bath rooms or my favourite, the comfort stop away from the clubhouse. You get a "dunny" in a shed, so no reason to hold on for the facility. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunny

When I lived in Hong Kong, I played on a private course on the island, my host told me a story (I hope its true). There was a complaint from the ladies that they could see men urinating on the course from the balcony when they were having their Tuesday tea. The following week the manager of the club issued an edict that women were no longer permitted to take tea on the balcony. They roll in a less PC world up there.

One time during a match i really had to go. I mean serious business things were about to explode. I have the fly unzipped in the woods near the 7th tee and im about to reach salvation, and a shriek comes from my playing partner "you cant pee here, this is public property and public exposure ill have you reported" it was a high school match so i didnt want to take any chances. Also it was private property (im guessing, private course) and i didnt want to be on megans law at the age of 15. Me and the other kid didnt get along the rest of the round. I mean i was a good 30 feet into the woods. I sprinted the last 3 holes to get back to the club house so i could reach a bathroom. I think it should be aloud (no number 2s though) as long as its away from everything (i.e in the woods, not writing your name in the bunkers) i mean animals do it, why cant i? Atleast put up more port a johns.

Years ago, Naples Italy. My 4 yr old step son had to go. We were downtown in the business section, not too many public restaurants or stores, only office buildings. I asked where the nearest WC was and was directed to the corner. It was only a lamp post with a three sided sort of barrier. Apparently perfectly acceptable. At least he did not have to "hoist a leg".

I'm not sure how the temperatures in Finland are, but if you play in the midwest during the thick of summer, the hummidity is enough to kill you. Sometimes you have to constantly drink water...a lot of times that leads to having to take a leak before the turn without a stall for a few holes. It just happens sometimes and is unavoidable. It's not pleasant, but just be discreet.
Exactly, take off into the woods and watch for the poison ivy! Fringe benefit you may find a stray new ProV1...BB

Forgot all about this one... I'm not going to shoot anyone for doing that and if you're on the 5th or 14th and you need to go, go. But I just can't understand the people who don't use the bathrooms at the clubhouse before the round or at the turn (or whatever half-way posts courses have) but use the bushes next to the 2nd or 11th tee boxes. :busted_cop:

Guilty. It was a round during my buddy's bachelor party. Used my time at the turn to refill our cooler with beers, then had to pee on the next hole. I regret nothing.

What really bugs me are the guys who urinate all over the course and then expect me to shake hands with them on the 18th green having not once washed their hands. No thank you
Urine is a sterile fluid (barring some type of UTI or bladder/kidney infection). It's much cleaner than the ball you pick up that's been rolling around on the ground.

Come to think of it, we don't need ball washers on every hole, just drink a lot of water!

If I have to go...I'm going. Many courses don't have facilities as you crawl through a development. I'm not waiting 2 1/2 hrs cause some f*** needs to plumb his putt for triple bogey.
