I am all for proper disposal in the proper place. Thst being said.... The internal hold can really mess up the swing so sometimes I find a place in the woods to take a leak.

As for the "sex offender post". Hypothetically speaking, lets say you are peeing on the side of to road poorly hiding behind a tree, and a school bus goes by or a car with some kids in it. Technically speaking you have just exposed yourself to a minor. Lets say the parents flip and call the police. That is a Megan's law violation. That's a lifelong friend. I though i had headprd about that somewhere or read about it. Urban legend??? I think that it is entirely plausible.

Careful with public urination!!!

Peeing on a tee box would cross the line but peeing behind a bush seems like a non issue to me. Never met anyone who would refuse to pee behind a bush if they needed to. Saw Curt Byrum walk 2-3 feet into the tree's at Spyglass to pee during the pebble beach pro-am. Who cares?

I once went to an annual meeting for a private club, and one of the residents whose property backs up the course (and a member) stated quite emphatically that she would call the police if she ever saw people on the course who were peeing. That, combined with the whole sex offender (if caught peeing in public) thing kind of set me straight. It was funny to hear the murmurs throughout the meeting room after she spoke up. I don't think it changed behavior much though....I see the same guys doing it.

Heck, I find I play better if I have some "urgency".

A couple of years ago there was a club in my area that was going through the same problems with the women, they passed a rule that if you got caught pissing on the course you would be banned for a certain period of time a couple of weeks. 3 days later they had their first ban and it was the head of club and the guy who passed that rule in the first place. lol.

If a course doesn't have any bathrooms on the course, I'm not above using the woods. When it's hot, I'm sweating, drinking a ton of water to stay hydrated, and it's a 5 hour round, it's sometimes hard to wait 2.5 hours to get to the clubhouse before you gotta go. Most courses I play at around here have at least one porta potty per 9, so it's not an issue. I play with plenty of people who pee near the #9 or #18 teebox and I always find a little odd. You can hold it for 15 more minutes.

Just don't get caught and get an indecent exposure charge, that will live with your forever! That's why I wait.
[/quote]

Aint that the truth - a member of our club took a leak next to a tree stup that faced an elementary school. 2 hours later cops showed up in the men's grill and arrested him for indecent exposure!

It's the call of nature, so I use nature lol. Seriously though, If there is a portapotty or restroom on the course, I'll be civilized. If not, I use nature, but I always try to conceal myself. I'll walk far enough in the woods so nobody can see me. Most courses I play are full of trees and woods, some almost jungle like, so concealment isn't a problem.

Funny thread! My buddy from Scotland does what he calls a rugby piss. He kneels on one knee and has a piss. It looks like he is tying his shoes. Says rugby players do it on the field lol.

Haha, so you don't lose sleep at night - I got rid of the quotation marks.

Surprised to see this topic still going strong. Keep em coming!

I'm quite lucky that I can hold my bladder for a long time, the toilets where horrible at my school so only used them about 5 times in 5 years!

We have a toilet along the ninth fairway which is handy, but I think if you need to go then go no one should judge people. 4+ hours is a long time to go without peeing and people should/tend to realise that you can't schedule your need to urinate to when you're near a toilet!

I'm a member of a private golf club with Royal status here in the UK and the membership is quite expensive almost Β£1200 (thank god for the age categorised membership) on the whole our members are very nice down to earth people and I've never heard anyone complain about people answering the call of nature on course.

I do a similar thing in my cart- one foot on the ground, the other in the cart, pretending to talk on the phone.

Fortunately, even at my age I can still go extended periods of time between urinations. Unfortunately, when I drink large amounts in the heat of summer, it all sweats out of my hands. I can soak 4 or 5 gloves a round.

I recently got into a heated debate over going #1 on the course (please stay away from #2 in this topic - that's just different beast) and noticed that everyone is different when it comes to this topic. I don't want this to turn into a monster golf etiquette thread (there's plenty of those) - I just thought it would be interesting to here people's reasons behind there answers. I personally fall into the catagory of depends on if it is a public or private course because Ilearned how to play golf at my friend's country club so I have always had kind of a fear of if I get caught doing something wrong at a private course, it would make whoever invited me on the couse look bad.

Oh and just for everyone's viewing pleasure (because it's on every other commerical on the Golf Channel)...

So when did Joe Theisman learn that he even had a prostate? And yes, if the PSI impedes the swing, (I really don't have a good rhyme for that.)

At the AT&T Pro Am this weekend we were following Arron Baddely and Lucas Glover at Spyglass for a few holes. After they hit their tee shots and started to walk down the fairway at #1 Lucas ducked into the tree's on the lefthand side and proceeded to take a leak. Even the pros urintate on the course.

Haha I believe it

I have no problem if the holes are in the woods, not near houses, roads, etc. Otherwise I'll hold it and wait as long as I can.

Owning a home on a golf course, I'd be a bit ticked to find some guy pulling out his wanker and pissin' on my fence while I'm out back playing with the kids or grilling. So with that in my mind, I don't go anywhere where it would offend someone or cause me to expose myself to others.
