Have a Titleist Sta-Dry and two Vokeys. Wasn't a consideration when purchasing though, I wanted something waterproof and the Titleist was available far cheaper than a H2N0.

I used to be TMAG DIEHARD. When i first took up golf in summer of 2008 i was R7ed out. Now on my 2nd Taylormade Superlite stand bag i find myself getting around. I game a Bio Cell driver, Mini SLDR 12*, V Steel 21* 7 wood, Ap1 4-pw, 588 wedges (50,55, and 60), and Seemore FGP. With 2 scottys in rotation. Talk about sleeping around.

As you can see from my signature, I've got a pretty mixed bag. Personally, I've got a bit of OCD when it comes to matching. I feel like if I had a golf brand bag, it has to match up with like 90% of my equipment. I'm pretty set on having mixed equipment so I think my next bag will be either an Ogio or Sun Mountain.

Although my bag is Nike and they do make clubs, Nike is a bigger brand across multiple sports that it's more of a generic brand as a bag. I've always been brand loyal to Nike as far as all other things so I guess the bag keeps that connection. Not willing to go all Nike on equipment though.

My bag doesn't currently match any of my clubs, but I'm shopping for all new (first fitted set). I really like the look of this TM bag, but leaning on mostly Ping clubs :(

Β

Then again I've narrowed it down to Karstens, G25, and RSi 1 iron sets. Still a ways out on the driver. Winter in MN sucks. (Even the fact that the TM clubs I like don't match the model on the face of the bag bugs me)

Β

I really shouldn't let my OCD slow me down, but it does. It doesn't matter what others think. Just get what you like, even if it's to satisfy your personal quirks.

Why would anyone pay to advertise someone else's product? The manufacturer should pay US if they want
us to do this.
I have a Piel tan leather pro style bag which does not carry any advertising, and my clubs have no
manufacturer's name----the (blade) iron heads are all 'blanks', and I remove maker's names from my
woods. I simply refuse to give free advertising.

What is that blue/white bag? I really like that, especially if it comes in red/black.

Looks like the Mizuno tour cart bag. I agree, it does look very nice!

With my swing, I don't think Ping would appreciate the fact that my clubs have their branding! I'm expecting a letter from their solicitor any time soon... :)

In all seriousness though, I've never really understood why some golfers have such an issue with club/bag/clothing branding. For instance, I wouldn't buy a new car and take all of the badges off, or remove the branding from a pair of trainers or a shirt, so why golf clubs?

This isn't meant to be a dig by the way, as everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but it does intrigue me!

I've always bought Ping or Titleist bags, but this last time I bought a Sun Mountain four5 as everyone seems to love Sun Mountain. Worst bag I've ever owned and worst customer service I've ever encountered. The thing fell apart after 6 months, during which I played maybe 7 times as I was injured. When I returned it they tried to claim I'd thrown it around and deliberately broken it. After much arguing with them from my pro he got me a replacement for free. This has also broken in exactly the same way and I've had to screw the stand back in myself with larger screws. Would never recommend them and I'll be going back to Ping bags in the next few weeks once I get paid.

Sorry to hear of your bad experience. I on the other hand have had only good experiences. My previous Sun Mountain is probably one of the original 3.5s. Very light and durable. I only replaced it to update the look/color. In that time SM was more than happy to send me free replacement rubber feet for the bag even though it was out of warranty.

I use a titleist staff stand bag, and I use some titleist clubs (everything but irons and hybrid). Using the clubs didn't have as much to do with picking the bag as much as looks did. I wanted a more "grown up" looking bag, especially compared to my previous bag, an ogio that looked like it was designed by a 10 year old boy
