Distance difference between a 10.5 degree driver and 15 degree 3 wood?

Hi guys....with all things being equal and a 95MPH driver swing what should the distance difference between the two a 10.5 deg. driver and 15 deg. 3 wood be? Thanks.

4.5 degrees.

Distance is approximately 15 = 20 yards. However, if you use it regularly you may find
it is easier to work the ball with a 3 wood, you will hit more fairways. Also, as with
any club you use very often the distance will increase, maybe enough to where your
driver won't be needed.

10-20 yards based on your swing. I hit driver about 250 and my 3 wood off the tee 230ish.

Now my 3 deep off the tee is about 240-245. Wouldn't use it off the deck though.

+1. I tend to hit driver 280-290 with roll. It is 9.5, and stays low. I have a 100-103 mph SS. 3 Wood is usually 250-260ish depending on if I hit off a tee or the deck.. I also carry a strong 3 iron Hybrid thats good for 240.

Do you live in a dry climate? 290 is pretty far for 103mph swing. I live in Las Vegas, 2500ft altitude, with a 106 mph swing and I'm usually around 270-280. Just curious. Maybe I'm playing on softer fairways.

[/quote]10 give or take is no big deal. I have a 105 mph swing speed and I average with role around 290. Hit the odd +300 when I hit it on the screws.

Must have your equipment dialed in buddy.. I barely get 290 and I'm 108-112.

My SS is mid 90's to 100 later in the round as I loosen up. I have a GPS watch so I know my distances are accurate. Hit one 317 slightly uphill the other day.
