I STILL dont understand why Callaway chooses not to continue to produce these wedges at retail... ( ala Vokey who continues to pump out consistently great wedges that all look the same )

The original X wedges we the BEST, and i mean BEST wedges they ever produced and its clearly demonstrated in the fact that about 80% of their tour players still use them. Everything about them from construction ( soft forgings & easy to work with. Im a club builder by career choice so I've seen my fair share of crappy wedges ) to stock grinds ( also something I do ) that for better players and golfers in general who like things that look the same from a wedge stand point year over year WHY NOT STILL produce these for the public..

Either way this is a great setup of gear, and its very interesting that he's still using the OG RF.

Looks like it might be an X utility prototype... would make more sense as a callaway staffer.

Can't remember which thread, but a Cally employee was quoted as saying "all the staff players will be switching to the Apex Pro." I just laughed because I knew it was not going to happen. If you have hit the Razr MBs you would know why.

Agreed. The Razr MB turf interaction is just unbelievably good. They'll be my irons for a long time to come.
