Vokey Grind Combinations

For all those vokey fans out there, I was wondering what grind combinations people use. I see there are some people that sticks to the same grind (often M) in their sand and lob wedges.

I am looking to purchase a new set of wedges and was wondering how many people out there combine a low bounce option with a high bounce option. Obviously there are advantages and disadvantages. However, on my home course, a situation I commonly come across is needing a higher bounce wedge for the sand (or if it rains a lot), but also needing something with lower bounce for popping up those tight short chips on fast rolling greens.

So here is the question, how many people out there play different (or the same) vokey grinds and what is your setup?

I play a SM5 50.08F, SM5 54.10M and SM5 58.08M. This works very well for me whether on my home course which tends to be a little softer or playing other courses in my neck of the woods that have slightly firmer conditions.

Some interesting responses so far. Are there a lot of people out there who multiple wedges and actively switch based on weather/course conditions? I know this is WRX, but I would have never considered keeping two 60* in the trunk and picking out one if there happened to be some rain in the forecast.

Guys, I need a little help.

I currently play a 52°/12° and a 58°/9° In the SM4 series.

I'm pretty happy with this set up, but it's time for new wedges. I am looking at the 52°/12° In the SM5, but I'm concerned about the other. According to the old SM4 sheet, my 58° has the S grind. The SM5 version in the S grind only has 7°. I'm not sure if I should be looking at the 58°/7° option with S, or 58°/8° with M.

I currently live in DFW, and the courses here in the summer are generally firm due to lack or rain, but I frequently go see my parents in Louisiana where the conditions are almost always softer. So the most versatile option would be my choice, but which is it?

Thanks guys,

Im not sure Vokey is the right wedge for you then, because static bounce dont make much of a difference to Sand or soft lies, its sole AREA who is needed then. That means you can play a bounce that fits your swing style (angle of attack), and just make sure the one for sand has a large enough sole area to make it in the sand. Then the same wedge can be played in your hands on any surface.... Static bounce to compensate for angle of attack....Sole area for turf/sand conditions...Look on Scratch SS series if you want wedges with low static bounce and a high sole area, or consider to have a M grind modified on static bounce, and add a P channel.

I play the 58.08M grind and find it to be very versatile insofar as different turf conditions go, but I was also playing a 258.08 before switching to the M. That said, my home course typically has soft turf conditions on a normal day, and after having a bit of rain dumped on it, it's REALLY soft. When at the beach, I play a course that typically has relatively firm turf conditions on an average day and moderately soft conditions after a bit of rain. I find that the M grind works well all around. I have a relatively steep swing with my wedges and take a divot that's about the length of a dollar bill, but relatively thin, with my swing, I don't find that the M grind digs excessively when conditions are soft nor do I find that wedge to cause me to catch shots with the leading edge when conditions are firm.

Digger here, I play a 46F 54M 58M (46 bent to 47, 54 bent to 53) and these work phenomenal. I find the M grind benefits the more creative player, where as the K grind for a digger is a more forgiving grind.

I use 2014 TVD 50 & 54 in M Grind and 60* in K Grind but I do have a 60* M Grind that I could use. Both 60* are bent to 59*, all of them with Steelfiber 110 shafts.
