Ebay Grips

There’s a bunch of Iomic grips listed on EBay for dirt cheap ($48 w/ free shipping for 13 2.3 stickys).

Has anybody tried to order from these places? It says they are coming from Japan and I have a pretty good feeling they are either fake, or they will only send one or two grips.

The first Rule of eBay is not to buy grips from eBay.

Agree completely with this. Grips just don't cost enough to worry about saving a couple of bucks and getting fake ones, at least in my opinion.

The only exception to this would be buying from brick and mortar outlets who happen to have an ebay presence. Hurricane Golf is one I have bought from many times before. Most of the time it is discontinued grips (e.g. old colours or logos) where it makes sense that they are being cleared out.

Pretty big price difference between $50 and $150 but I get what you’re saying.

Only one negative feedback from 100’s of transactions (which says fake grips) but the rest say good product.

I will get flak for saying this, but I don't mind fake grips.

Realistically, grips should be changed once a year. Fakes will last a year, but not much further. They tend to lose grip faster.

I got multi compounds on eBay for half the price and it was completely worth it. I will not sell the clubs with the fake grips on them. I usually save the pulled grips.
I'd list the clubs in my bag, but then I would have to change this every day

For sure, nothing wrong with that.

The problem is when you buy grips thinking 'great deal!' because they are presented as real, and then you get them as fake.

2nd rule is not to talk about the fake grips we might have bought on ebay.

There is a seller named tour-issue-clubs selling fake Iomic grips as well. I emailed him and got a rude reply. Do not buy grips from him.

98% chance they’re fake. Just got a little too excited with the price. Anybody hiring? I need a job that puts real grips in the budget.
