Mizuno ST190 Fairway thoughts?

Anyone done any extensive testing on the new Mizuno Fairway? I have the TS2 but yet to play with it outdoors. The ST190 fairway caught my eye. Planning to go try it today but wanted hear other thoughts as well. Haven’t seen any reviews on You Tube for it.

I've hit both and the glued ST190 looks like the real winner. The ST190 fairways are the secret love child of the TS3 and 2016 M2, a result of when they went on college spring break in Panama City Beach together. One thing that is slightly off putting is the lack of complimentary shafts to the driver. If you're someone who likes continuity between the driver and 3 wood, you might have to make compromises. For example, let's say you fit into the Atmos Black 6X and you want to pair it with the Atmos Black 7X in the fairway. No dice, try again.

I hit the fairway at a demo day and loved the feel and crisp sound. Taller face than Epic flash which gave me greater confidence when tee’d up. I purchased the tour spoon version for adjustability although I doubt I’ll do much tinkering. I later hit the epic flash while waiting for my back orders Mizuno and second guessed my decision. Just depends what you need from your 3. Tee box or fairway use.

They are beautiful FWs for sure, but I need mine for more use off the deck so I opted to grab a 180 instead. The shallower face seems to be better for what I need, but the new 190 line is no joke and should not be overlooked. Like stated, might just come down to what you need it for most.

My ST190 should he delivered by end of day tomorrow. I can't wait. It will finish the top of the bag.

I’m hoping they are amazing. I was only able to try a glued version in a weak shaft. Felt great. Custom ordered a TS model that should be in by the end of the week. I’ll update when it it comes in.

Had it out twice since it came in. WOW looks amazing in person. It sounds great and gets the ball up quick. It's gonna be really really good for me?

I just got my - just waiting for the snow to melt.  I got the glued version.

ive got a Tour issue 190TS head coming that i plan to mate up with a D+ 80X and see how it performs against my Titleist 917F2. we shall see.

I just bought one and coming out of a long offseason, trying it head to head vs a RBZ that stubbornly refuses to leave my bag no matter what I put up against it. I think its too early to be comparing, mostly because I'm out of form and can't hit the same shot twice in a row, but the ST190 keeps up. At this early point in the season, Atmos 7s shaft might be little too much shaft for me vs XCON5, not really happy with the dispersion at the moment but I suspect I need to spend some time with my fitter.

I Bought the 190 after a demo day. Atmos 7 black with the Tour spoon head. After it arrived I took it to the range at the golf shop along with an epic flash sub zero with the tensei blue stiff shaft. I hated the tensei when I tested it on drivers but it seemed to work well with a fairway setup.

Long story short, the sub zero was longer for me (266yds vs 250-255) on the longest and purest hits from the turf. Ball flight was practically the same from a launch perspective. The sweet spot on the epic felt more pure to me than the mizuno. I really wanted to love this mizuno. I waited 3 weeks for it to arrive. My only dislike with this club was the tiny head over. Very underwhelming.

I just ordered mine with Tensei White 70X. It was at the end of my fitting and I was gassed but I cooked one that carried 266 with 278 total. Most were carrying 260. Love this thing.

I just pulled the trigger and purchased mine. The look at address just lines up so well. Looking forward to hitting this one this season.

Took mine on course for the first time today. It’s a great fairway wood. Looks great at setup and sound/feel is great.

How did it compare to the Titleist 3 wood? I am currently on the fence on whether to make the change. Looking for some feedback/impressions.

Anyone finding the deeper face to be an issue off the deck? I have the 180 and am really growing to like it from anywhere. The 190 is great looking no doubt, though.

Went from ST180 3wood to the ST190 3TS and could not be more happy with the added distance off the tee (almost use this more than my driver as of late) and off the deck its as easy as it gets with high straight balls. Point and click, really happy with my Speeder TR 757S in her to say the least!

I didn't want to have to manipulate the club face at address, so it didn't make it into my bag.

Its currently in my Dining Room, still in plastic. Hit a few times with painters tape over that. Would let it go for what I have into it, which is far less than retail. Message me if interested, or might hit the BST this weekend.

Had one of the TS heads. In the standard setting it set up very square, I prefer slightly open. Looks, sound and feel were all top notch. Sound and feel were on the muted side but not too much so, really nice. It just launched a little high for me and I didn't love it enough to go down the shaft experimentation road. If I had the time to mess around with different combos and shafts this is one I'd be trying to make work.

What x flex shafts are you guys gaming in this 3 wood. The tour black 6x is too light and the 7 stiff is too loose.

Would love just a Diamana white 70x

I'm wanting to try one for sure. I love glued hosel fairways. I have a tensei av waiting to go into one if I can find a head.

Mizuno offers a Tensei ck white 70x, Tensei ck blue 70x, and Kuro Kage dual core TiNi 70x and 80x as shaft options. As far as what you will find in a pro shop or big box shelf, your only xflex option is the Atmos black 60x.

Does anyone have in hand pictures of these fairway woods? I've yet to see any.

TS model turned down to 13 with the Fuji Black TS 7S drops bombs. It’s a mini driver.
