Ok golfwrx I got a weird question. I need to add just two grams to my titleist 909f3 3 wood. I really don't want to spend 50 bucks on a hot melt kit. Does anyone in the St Louis Missouri area have one that I can borrow or come to you so I can add just two grams to my 3 wood please let me know.

I use a glue gun and glue sticks used for crafts. Works awesome! Super cheap. And if you only need a few grams it’s a no brainer.

only If it moves...so i should have wrote Cotton (only), i dont think 2 grams in a small wood head is able to move, but maybe its not enough for that....

I would have put 2 short stripes of lead tape on the back side of the hosel like this photo.
It will not be visible from address, and it want be scraped off like the risk is if we add it to a part of the sole, and 2 grams is 2 x 1 inch stripes on top of each other. At least i would have used that until i found a hot melt option.

Order from Golfworks the head-rattle tack glue. The kit comes with a long straw to insert so you could put it basically anywhere you want inside the head

I'm a big fan of hotmelt. I don't use the heater, just the cheap cartridges and gun. You could probably make your own gun even. Anyway, I heat it up with a torch and the melt comes flowing out.

Sorry guys it did not put my link in my last post. I was wondering how playable is this kind of hotmelt. I was thinking of cutting off a chunk of the weight I need rolling it in a think straw shape and feeding not through the hot melt port then Turing the head and moving to non melted hot melt where I want it in the head and heating itnupnwitj my torch and then let it sit till it cools off. Here is the hot melt I am asking about. https://www.hotmelt.com/products/golf-weighting-bulk-hot-melt

Can I ask why you want to add 2 grams? Thats not much at all (1 swing weight). I would be shocked if someone could tell the difference.

Lol your probably right but when it comes to my clubs I am super picky and they have to be perfect if I know one is not at the swing weight I want it will bother the **** out of me. It's a head thing. I just wanted to know before I wasted money on this stuff well I guess the only way is to try it out. In a few weeks and report back to all of you.

if you never tested that club with the actual value, your thinking and understanding of SW values is wrong.
We should dial in a club without thinking of number values at all using lead tape. When the club works and feel right, rip of the tape and put it on a gram scale and replace the same weight as hotmelt. Take notes of SW for reference.
Do NOT trace a SW value like this if you never tested it on the actual club, thats fooling your self.
