Maverik pro irons

There’s a thread in the equipment section and several posters have said they are better than the rogue pro in a few aspects

Never tried the rogue pro, but the mav pro’s definitely don’t feel soft. To me, they feel like what they are, a fully cast iron. That being said, they did go far and the look at address reminded me of 790. Not tons of offset, pretty good looking iron.

id like to try the epic forged, I think the feel would be a little better if you didn’t mind the price tag. Hopefully I’ll get a chance to hit those soon.

I think the Mav pros are better than the rogue pros in almost every way. The are essentially a hollow body iron but are not the same as others on the markets. The are definitely long and ball rockets off the face. If you like a decent players iron but want some distance and forgiveness at the sacrifice of a bit of feel these are your irons. I don’t think the feel terrible but they are not the softest iron out there nor do I think it is really trying to be.

I have the Mavrik Pro irons, and owned the Rogue Pro irons for a short time. I prefer the Mavrik Pro much more, they launch easily without ballooning also the turf interaction is very good. They have a nice feel, but don't feel forged.

I have also owned the Apex 19 combo irons and prefer the Mavrik because I dont see the backs of the long irons at address.

Yeah they could come out with another PXG/T-MB/P790/i500/HMB clone. I think it's brilliant that they made these hollow bodied irons which are basically smaller game improvement clubs without the crazy looking back and people are in love with them, but wouldn't touch a SGI club.

Tried these last week and enjoyed them a lot. Felt solid, and forgiving for the size of iron. However for me, with my 92 MPH swingspeed, but high launch and spin, I was getting so much more out of the Epic Forged. I'd suspect Epic Forged to be far too low spin for most golfers, but for me they were the ticket.

you can't do a hollow bodied forging. They can forge the face and the back or either one, and I guess weld them together or some metallurgic magic. And actually with casting and multi material constructions they can make the most forgiving clubs, but we hate the looks. Ultimately, give me my sexy forged (or at least partially) clubs. Thing is, just like with wedges where Scotties are cast, and don't really make a difference (modern casting is really pretty good), we just want forged for no reason other than it sounds cooler. It's like telling a woman that a man made diamond is basically the same thing. Good luck with that.

I tried the Taylormade P790......the Ping 525....the T200 and the Srixon ZX5 and the Mavrik Pro was better than all of these for me and to be honest I was shocked by this.  The look at address is perfect.  Smallish clubhead heel to toe with very little offset.  The distance and peak heights were incredible and spin was actually decent with the True Temper 105 stiff higher spinning and launching shaft paired with a Pro V1 ball.  The feel was powerful and most importantly the sound was the best of all these.  The Srixon ZX5 was awful sounding as was the T200.  The sound and feel is not forged but man it is really good and I am very particular about how an iron sounds.  I am really blown away by this iron.  Looking down on the iron it really looks like a true players iron but with so much more power off the face than say a T100 or a Callaway X Forged.  Also I found if you mishit it you will know.  It is very forgiving but it does give you some feedback which is nice to get back.  I demoed no less than 30 sets of irons from every manufacturer and after hitting these I immediately went on Callaway preowned and got the 4-AW in LIKE NEW condition for $670 plus tax.  I don't write reviews often but am so impressed with these irons.  I know they are under the radar compared to P790 and T200 and I didn't even know much about them but I am so glad I stumbled on to them.

Just order a set 5-aw from Callaway preowned. Condition stated very good hope they are in good shape-anyone offer fees back on prior purchase from there. Had the project x lz 95-anyone have I put on that shaft by chance.

Congrats! Love my Mav Pros. I got them from CPO’s eBay without trying them and have been thrilled with them!
