Anyone using in the new equipment?
With all the new clubs and shafts out there for 2009 is anyone finding the NV outdated? I kinda want to try one in an 09' Burner (retail). I have my Titleist Voodoo in my 909D2 10.5* and I like the smooth feel of this stock shaft. It kind of reminds me of an NV. What are your thoughts? Thanks.

The Aldila NV Shaft is an excellent Shaft AND is a proven winner. You still see the NV in the Pro's clubs on the PGA Tour, Seniors and Nationwide Tour. Still one of my best sellers here in my Shop. When the NV is Pured/FLO'ed it produces laser like shots even in the most exotic heads out now. I've put quite few in the new heads offered this year and especially in the Titleist 909 Series replacing the stock shafts offered by Titleist. And, the NV doesn't cost an arm and a leg, which isn't all bad either.

You know the NV gets ragged on by a lot of guys that probably can't break 80, yet it is played by countless club pros, world class teachers, and pros on all 3 tours. But let's listen to the broccoli choppers that say it's inconsistent or whatever. Great shaft if it fits your swing.

I was playing it in my Titleist 905S and loved it. If the pro's are playing it, it's a good shaft. THink about it they have access to every shaft under the sun.

The NV is just like any other shaft , if it fits your swing it'll work. I've tried it in more than a few OEM clubs and always felt that it played soft to stated flex. The quality/consistency of the OEM NV shafts was pretty spotty too IMO.

I think many were disappointed because of all the initial hype for the shaft. That, combined with the fact the shaft was way overpriced, its no wonder many dislike the NV.

With their new lower prices the NV is a pretty decent deal now.

the NV is a great shaft because it can provide you stability without the boardiness feeling.. responds great to swing changes and keeps the trajectory you want. very smooth shaft without the harshness.. if it fits your swing you should stick with it.

I had one in a 905r that was pured and it was unreal. But I just dropped it off to get a prolaunch red tossed in with an X flex shaft. I wanted something a little tighter than a stiff.

My sig says how I feel about them; it is to the point that when I am looking at woods on ebay I search NV first to see what is available in an NV shaft then look at whole clubs next. Bought 2 585h's last year and immedialtely reshfted them w/ NV 85 hybrids. Been looking for a 3 wood all weekend that had one already in it but no luck-ordered a MX700 w/ factory shaft-they say the Mizzy shafts are pretty good-if it isn't I'll be gettin' on Golfworks quickly to buy one already pured/floed ($68.00 I think right now). Think I may try that NV75 Fairway out.

I have the 85 grams version in my fairway woods w. f60 heads and they play super for me. smooth swinging and very tight dispersion and the ball jumps for me. I am between a reg and stiff shaft, a smooth tempo swinger and the NV regular supports my swing and doesnt feel sloppy in any way. I hit the ball too high with the NV in a 65 grams regular shaft in a driver and the stiff feels a litttle tight to me, so i am using the dvs shaft in a stiff and that is working out great as the tip is a little softer but the shaft plays firm and tight because the butt end is so stiff. the DVS isnt talked up around here, but that is a newer shaft and plays great IMO if you want something newer. I have another 85 grams NV that I may stick in a driver head. I dont think you can beat the price/performance ratio of the NV if its launch/spin characteristics suit your swing.

When ever I get set up for a new driver or jut want to hit a bunch of drivers on the Trakman I always get excellent results with the NV shaft. For me I just like how it unloads but they always seem pretty soft to stated flex
