I bought a driver shaft from him awhile back, have gamed the shaft and it performs well. Im not sure how i would feel a fake shaft... needless to say im interested in how this turns out.

It was an Attas G7 , not tour spx so no etched in serial.

How will you "authenticate"?

Will verify each irons serial number then report back. These are TSPX I don't think they have eched serials but each iron should have a butt sticker. BB

Mine are the recoil protos TSPX and each was QA by a UST Tech and data recorded along with an etched s/n.

 

But in pm with the poster that provided pics earlier his purchased from the ebay seller, his do not have s/n.

 

Does this mean they are not authentic, no but likely excess inventory that UST is moving w/o QA in order to keep their plant in Bangladesh operating.

 

I have viewed his photos and compared to my new uncut proto 95/f5 5 iron from 4 years ago.

 

I see absolutely no difference in the shafts and that includes the ust white butt end label.

Thanks BB, if I can find anything to verify I will with UST. I will also check tolerances and closely inspect graphics. I can't imagine fake shafts would have the quality of authentic TSPX. I did notice serial numbers on the butt stickers of the pics posted in this thread no? Seemed like some form of accounting to me.

I know you are tongue and cheek. In defense of Will this cat is dumping a pile inventory for whatever reason. I wouldn't expect to ever see these prices again once this stock is depleted.

Just saw this thread now :( , I bought a Recoil Prototype hybrid shaft off him, $50 obo, got it for $41 on June 26. No word of any shipping details until today, but wasn’t too discouraged with July 4th etc. He now has some good recent eBay feedback, so fingers crossed I guess.

Decided to go ahead and purchase a set. Unfortunately seller has told me Paypal is listing my payment as pending-which has never happened to me--egads! What does that mean exactly?

Someone else just mentioned this happening to them on a non ebay transaction, it is pretty common in the ebay world, has happened to me a couple times. It is unnerving though.

 

It gets released with positive feedback or 3 days after delivery or something like that

I got a set from him. It took about a week for them to get shipped. He his communication was good though.

 

They all weighed exactly 96 grams and swing-weighted heavy compared to most light weight graphite shafts (which is the Recoil design).

 

Great shafts! However, I liked my Accra 90i's better

I took a chance and bought some shafts from this seller. He told me word for word what you posted above about the hold/pending payment.
