The right Sim setup?

Hey Guys,

 

Im planning on build a sim room.

The problem is it is only 4 meters long, is there a simulator which gets the data right with only 4 meters from sim to net?

Limited room definitely Skytrak so you can play some courses too. Probably the most well rounded home setup you can have. Not the cheapest but oh well.

With that amount of space, it's really only the radar based units you have to stay away from - Flightscope and Trackman.

Ok, so skytrak should be my solution. And better for my wallet!

 

Is it accurate for club and ball data?

 

And is the playing and Range Software good?

It's decent for ball data but doesn't measure any club data. If you want both good club data and ball data, that means gc2 with HMT or GCQuad (Well for the non-radar units - least expensive way to get both would be probably a used Flightscope X2 or Xi Tour - but you don't have the room for those).

For sim use, more people actually tend prefer GC2 because it can be used with different sim software options (like TGC or Trugolf's e6 or JNPG). GCQuad can only be used with Foresight's FSX software.

 

There are some improvements with GCQuad (like a bigger hitting area) - might do a little better with club data but from what I've seen both are plenty accurate enough for the majority of individuals needs for both sim and working on your swing.

Already have a windows laptop or iPad at home.

Foresight GC2 and if you really want, get an HMT. Not needed for SIM.

 

 

Software options for GC2 are:

 

JNPG (best in my opinion)

TGC

FSX 2018 (foresight's propriatary)
