I probably hit mine as bad as I could two weekends ago. Just awful off the tee. I know it wasnt the driver as we all know but it was ugly and made some doubts start to creep in.

Are you finding it has a left or draw bias? I loved the look and feel but it just wanted to go left and I couldn't deal with it. Been playing the EXS, it reminds me of the 785 only doesn't want to go left like the Srixon.

How are you guys getting along with this driver long term?

It’s a solid driver. Going to be hard to beat in terms of feel, distance, and forgiveness. Feel is personal preference of course, but it’s SOLID. Distance is as good or better than anything out, especially Mishits. Forgiveness wise, I felt the G400 MAX is a touch more forgiving, but the 785 spins less and is much better in the wind. It’s definitely a winner. Some have said it sits closed and/or has draw bias, but I opened mine up and it seemed to erase any of that.

I opened mine up all the way and it took care of this problem. Might be worth a shot.

That is excactly what I did. Now I get a straight or baby draw bomb. Really pleased.

I have the 9.5 head originally ordered with the hzdrus black 6.5 at 44.5". Head weight is 195 grams. I actually play mine with the 12 gram weight which brings it to 199 grams.

Since this thread came back alive the last few days, I thought I would give a quick write up on my thoughts since I started playing this club in the Spring. To start, I ordered with the project X 6.5 at 44.5". That was a bit too stout for me. I've moved into the Diamana W series at 44.5" and tipped 3/4". Perfect fit and immediately got this club really performing. I feel like it is as long as anything out there and what has kept it as the gamer is the fact that I keep it in play. I realize this is all a bit chicken and egg. I've got my handicap to the lowest its ever been (currently at 9.4) and its hard to saw how much I'm associating some solid play across the bag to this club as I started to play some good golf when I got I put the 785 into play.

What I like: This thing looks amazing. The simple black head, with a bit of carbon weaved, is a great look for those like a classic/simple look at address. I don't love the alignment aid, but overall this clubhead looks fantastic. As specified above, the 785 has delivered on the distance front. I'm hitting this as long as the M3 and Epic SZ which I gamed previously. I didn't know if the Srixon could keep up when I originally got it, but for this golfer who swings it around 100 MPH, the performance has been right there with the TM and Cally.

What I don't like: The wrench is an odd square shape and very large. I wish they used the more common shape as losing the wrench would be an absolute hassle. The fit and finish on some items is the slightest bit off. Like on the adapter which attaches to the shaft, the paint is off a bit. Nothing major but something that sometimes bugs me.

Overall, this driver is a keep for now. No driver is ever completely safe and its definitely possible you'll check my signature in a year and see something else in the bag, but I'm very happy with this club so far.
