I wonder who is producing the JMI putter line?

I spoke to Jim Butler and he said that he was making them. The little logo is of a butler.

Good for him. Most wouldn’t have the means, skill, or ‘stones’ to put their work on display for all. The heads have a ‘garage-like’ appearance. There are elements to each of the heads that I like, but his work needs refinement in a few areas. The market will determine the value of his work. I’m certainly out at these price points.

    Thank you for sharing sandtrap.

Those all white Icon Black 1857 Footjoys are delightful. The $750 price tag, not so much.

It looks like he's been making putters for maybe 24 months. If i had to give his work a golf handicap I'd say he's a 10hcp asking to get the price of a scratch. Scotty, Lamb, and Bettinardi for example are +8's.

I hope he didn't put his life's savings into starting a boutique putter brand because........well.......he's not very good at it...........I've seen better welds in an 8th grade shop class......

Scotty Cameron no doubt got a good laugh if he saw those Tablerock/JMI putters.

Not gonna lie, those Table Rock putters look terrible for $1500, $500, or any amount of money at all.

Once they lost the custom scotty stuff it was all downhill.

Does anyone know the story behind the reason they lost the Tour Scotty Items? Is this knowledge/truth out there in some form?

I don't know the official story, but Cameron opened his putter gallery not long after Tablerock was discharged. I would assume it's because Scotty decided he could do it more easily and profitably himself than by having Tablerock do it.

In addition, The Art of Putters, out of California also distributes "tour" putters. I think Tablerock became unnecessary.

On a brighter note some of those new FJ shoes look mega comfortable. And those 1857 belts are gorgeous.

Assume JMI stands for something. Just My Imagination? Certainly an industrial, homemade look going on.

I’d like to have been in the product development meeting where someone said “people will love the twisty” and then that guy’s supervisor gave it a seal of approval.
