The camera followed him a bit, he ran up the stairs, shook no hands on his way. Not sure what happened? And there was no interview afterwards that I saw? Interesting and bad form IMO.

Seems to me that Darin Clark was more disappointed and upset with himself for what he had just done. I think that he knew where he stood at that point. I did not see anyone ask for an interview.... at that point it would have been stupid to do an interview anyway while that emotional. I thought he acknowledged the fans and shook everyone's hand.

Clarke was obviously upset and felt he let his entire nation down. He finished how Rory started, a lot of pressure. Give the guy a break.

He did shake hands with all the relevant people this post is factually incorrect. Course he was mad he could afford a bogey and made a triple.

I agree...bush league!

I thought he could have at least tipped his hat to the fans. He'll never get another moment of that magnitude again...hometown boy, home course, major championship, etc. I bet he regrets it.

maybe he didn't want to lose it in front of millions of people. There is 2 sides to every story I'm sure one day he will explain how humiliated and pissed that he choked with a triple on 18. Dude is a competitor and a class act from every interview I've seen with him. I did notice his behavior seemed out of character but can sympothize with him considering how much event meant to him. Rory shit the bed on first hole so had 5 hours to regroup and compose himself, Clarke went into 18 thinking he would play weekend with bogey and makes triple. It had to hurt.

Darren acknowledged the fans and he shook the volunteers hands. Just because he didn’t linger around and shoot the breeze with everybody doesn’t mean he’s a bad dude. Obviously he was upset about missing the cut because of his blowup last hole. I’m sure he felt embarrassed and that he let his whole nation down. I’m sure he was very upset with himself. I think many of us can relate to having something not go our way and feeling very upset with ourselves. Those are the times when it’s better just to be alone for a while to be able to get over our own emotional demons. I wish him the best and hope that he can make the cut next year at the open championship.

Darren can be a douche when he wants to be , plenty of stories of him being known as difficult .
