G410 LST Performance

Looking for an answer on this. I ordered the LST with the ping tour 65x at D3. I put Ping tips on my ventus 7x and my Aldila tour green proto 65 tx. Both of these clubs swing weight to D4. Question: why am I getting a weird high pitched tingy sound with my good shafts? It sounds weird. Performance also not as good as with the ping tour 65x shaft. I switched back to the tour 65x shaft today and was getting a really solid thwacky impact... like an ideal impact sound and feel. But with my good shafts the thing felt like a lemon and made bad noises. Is there any way the adapters I got at the golf store are duds? I can’t figure this out. I guess I’ll play the stock shaft for now because it makes the thing come alive, but I found this to be weird. Especially because I’ve used those other shafts successfully in PXG and Callaway heads. ??‍♂️ Thanks for any feedback.

Are you catching it right in the face? Are the shaft lengths the same? If I hit my G410 Plus thin it makes a much different sound than when I hit the center of the face. If your shaft lengths are different, you may be catching it differently. Just a hack's opinion.

A lot of people can afford anything and choose to play the Tour 65 shaft. Maybe you should be one of them.

Ping also puts plugs in the end of their shafts before they go in the adapters, could change the acoustics ???? .. assuming you are using the 410 tips

I hated the 65x in my 410LST. Felt Dead.

Went back to 400LST fwiw .. more consistent. Massive bombs once in a while with 410 but general shots were too low for me, my eye see's a high draw and that was not the stock flight ... YMMV

Ok thanks it’s actually weird. The tingy sound on miss hits with the shafts I already owned verses the ping shaft even in mis hits strange. I thought I had broken the head somehow then I went back to the wonderful stock shaft and boom perfect sound. a sound and feel really like. What materials are used in the ping tour shaft? Any idea on prepeg? May have a winner. Oddly because I think the aldila tour green proto is insanely good... smooth and high bombs. Whatever. Psychologically it’s hard to just play a stock shaft when I’ve played these other ones as stupid as that sounds. Maybe that’s why I am so damn inconsistent.

Awesome! It is one of the most under-the-radar shafts out there, but beats so many high-dollar brands for so many people. Never have driven the ball better than with this shaft (and the Tour 75 in a 3 wood as well). Somewhat regretted selling my 400LST...until I went to the 410 Plus.

Unless I’m mistaken it’s still made by UST mamiya and is based off the elements chrome shaft which is a pretty solid base to start from plus what they send to ust is designed specifically for the ping heads

Correct - still made by UST and to the best of my knowledge, based on the Elements around the 6F4T or 7F5T from what I can recall from a conversation with someone at Ping. A great shaft for sure.
