Review: Mizuno WindLite Sweater is my Personal favorite for 40*F to 60*F

I have two of the vests. I don't know what I'd do without them. They're just fantastic.

For the record, I'm 6'-0"/175/44 jacket (for shoulders) and went with Medium vests. I like them with less material to bunch around the mid section. Not tight or restrictive at all -- just more fitted. Sits right at my belt line instead of down past it...

I wore mine this week for the first time after our snow storm last week. I had to run some errands in the neighborhood on Thursday and wore it to give it a test run. All I can say is that with the temp in the low 50s, it was almost too warm! This thing is great.

You are right--this sweater is super warm yet doesn't restrict your swing in any way like a lot of other cold weather gear does!

I think it is even too warm for any temperature I would play golf in (which is down to about 8°C or 46°F).
I have an old one (without zip) which I wear for work in the garden in winter, but I have stopped wearing it for golf.
However, I got a Windlite Fleece 1/4 Zip now, which is absolutely perfect. It is also waterproof, not for constant rain, but enough for short showers. It is a 2010 model, I believe. There is also a video review of it by Mark Crossfield on his youtube channel.
Mizuno apparel is slowly but surely taking over the golf section of my wardrobe. (European) large fits me perfectly (5'11", 176lbs, with broad shoulders), and the quality is absolutely top.

I usually keep pretty warm, and can play in 32* weather in a UA cold gear top & botton and a sweater. I dont want to start playing this weekend and sweat out of my new sweater.

60* is WAY too warm for this sweater. The winds are inconsequential as the sweater will block the wind so you are wearing a sweater when it is 60* out. Assuming you are walking. If you are riding in a cart, it may be just right because you don't build up your internal heat like you do walking.

I got mine 2 weeks ago after searching and searching for a deal on one since I read Chilidog endorse it about a year ago. Now I wear it all the time. Wonderful, wonderful item. I am looking to get at least another one in another color so it doesn't look like I am wearing the same thing everyday.

XXL fits perfectly and I'm 6'5" 240lbs. Never comes close to hindering a swing.

I just bought the 1/4 zip, last years model, on clearance for $70, and the pro threw in a round of golf. I've had my eye on them for a while, but never wanted to drop $120 on it. Always seemed like i think about getting one when there's only a couple more possible rounds in the year.

Only have one round with this, but I have worn it to 2 college football games, and you just cannot beat this for warmth without bulk on a breezy day.

All the Mizuno Performance wear is excellent. IMO for the Money it's the best outerwear on the market.

I'll concur on the Mizuno wind lite 1/4 zip....I have the Stone/Black, and it absolutely awesome.....

I just got mine and had a question about fit. It fits fine in the shoulders and chest, a little loose around the midsection but not terribly so.
My issue is, the sleeves and even the body seem really long. Is this normal?
I'm 5'9 and wear a medium in pretty much everything, definitely in the sweaters category, but the mizuno medium seems rather long.
I'm afraid if I get a small it would be too restrictive around the shoulders.
Not to mention the ebay seller I got mine from doesn't even have it in small so it would be a hassle to return and find another source etc

I think 60 os to hot. I would say under 60 as long as the sun isn't out is safe. If the weather is going to be between 50 and 60 and I know I will want to strip off the sweater I always dress under the sweater accordingly. Like a long sleeve shirt that makes sense.

I have not noticed this at all. Also there is nothing worse than a sweater that is to short. Look like a tool on the follow through.

The new 2012 FootJoy version is pretty good too. Runs WAY bigger than the Mizuno though - the Mizuno XL and the FootJoy large are almost identical. The outer fabric of the FJ is Merino wool and seems thinner and lighter than the Mizuno. Both are really nice and work great. Price is the same too.

I've got one of the older, pullover style, WINDLITE sweaters. All I have to say is that it's probably one of the only cold weather tops I've kept for the test of time. Wear one of these sweaters, with an UnderArmour compression and you're ready for ANYTHING!!

Gotta bring the Windlite back to life. Just played Mountain Golf {Wisp resort} in pretty windy and cold weather and was totally comfortable in a Windlite Fleece jacket and T shirt. Amazing stuff

I just picked up a Windlite sweater (current year model with the zipper) and played in 40 to 50 degree weather this last weekend. What a great piece of clothing.

I wore an Under Armour compression mock with it and it was almost too warm. At that temp, I previously would have worn full Gortex jacket or a short sleeve rain shirt (both SunIce). The sweater was as good or better and it was not restricting at all. My only complaint is that the sweater didn't breath quite as much as I would like (tolerable though). Overall it is a great product and I thank those here who recommended it!

The jacket is great because all you need under is a short sleeve wicking undershirt upto 40 degrees (for me). No mid flece required and keeps the swing flowing without too many layers. Really great product line that just performs without a lot ofbhopla

Not sure but I think mainly cosmetic. I have the sweater, fleece jacket and vest and like the jacket the best. On sale at Budget Golf...
